Wonderful location and hosts who can't do enough for you. Extremely welcoming and friendly. Will definitely return when they switch to 'room-only/self-catering', promised for 2018. Suits me as I can sleep in and there are so many nice cafes around Ambleside.

Lovely rooms and a fantastic cooked breakfast.
The owners are lovely and extremely helpful, even packing up homemade flapjacks for its to take on our walks.
Wine was available during the afternoon/evening at no extra cost.
An easy walk into Ambleside coupled with free (but tight for larger cars) parking makes this an excellent choice to stay. The passes for the Salutation spa are a nice bonus too!
