Myth: Apply butter/oil to a burn to cool it.
... Busted: The oil and butter prevent the heat from escaping from the skin, so this will make the situation worse. Use cool, running water for 10 minutes.

Equipment: Piece of paper and bag of Skittles
Method: List the colours in the Skittle pack. Write a question for each colour! Let the delegates take a skittle and answer the corresponding question!
... Question Ideas: What would your luxury item on a desert island be and why? If you could invite anyone to a dinner party, who would it be and why? You are going to a fancy dress party, who or what would you go as and why?
Then your delegates can enjoy a cheeky sweet!

Do you know what a de-gloved injury is?
It is caused by an object running across the surface of the skin and tearing it.... If this happens, replace the flap of skin over the bare tissue area if possible and seek medical advice.

Do you know what to do if an animal bites you?
You need to irrigate the wound thoroughly to wash out any bacteria or viruses and to reduce the risk of infection.
... Treat the bleeding if needed.
Pat it dry and use a low-adherent (non-sticky) dressing.
Seek medical advice, especially if it is a large bite.
