Located on the South Western flanks of the Pennines, I specialise in fly fishing on Manchester's urban River Tame, and two of four club lakes run by Carrbrook Angling Club where I am the resident Fly Fishing Guide and Head Bailiff. I am also a Angling Trust (VBS) Voluntary Bailiff Service Water Bailiff.
I cater for all levels from beginner or newcomer to the more experienced angler for stunning 'Wild' Brown Trout, Grayling and a variety of coarse species.
'Wild' Rainbow & Brown Trout. Grayling. Pike, Carp & Chub on the fly.
Stillwater fly fishing for stocked Trout & Coarse species.
Saltwater fly fishing for Sea Trout, Bass & Mullet.
My guiding and tuition services are available throughout the UK on river, stream, lake and reservoir via boat or bank.

Looking forward to my usual 3 days off, every weeks a bank holiday weekend for me, Sat/Sun/Mon off. Guiding on Sun/Mon a day on the Clyde followed by a day on my local River Tame... Guiding or Fishing? I'd much rather be fishing but I get just as much of a buzz/adrenaline rush from seeing my fishing companion getting into wild brown trout or pre selected coarse fish on the fly of which 99% have never seen a hook before... Many dates still available including mid-week days... Text, email or call for availability.
So far 5 guided fly fishing days booked in for April... A little update... I have now accepted the role of club bailiff for Carrbrook Angling Club who control and manage 3 lovely lakes. Rainwater 1 & 2 in Carrbrook and Millbrook Dam in Millbrook. Exclusive fly fishing guiding & tuition is available for both Carp and Pike and various coarse species. Rainwater 1 is a gated Members only water with Carp and various other coarse species. Rainwater 2 is a day ticket water and with fly fishing for Carp, Pike and various other coarse s...pecies. Millbrook Dam is another day ticket water with fly fishing for Carp and other coarse species. I have exclusive fly fishing guiding & tution on all 3 lakes. Fishing on a urban, spate river especially whilst wading can be challenging and you should be aware of its sudden ability to rise very quickly.
