About Wright Brothers Borough

Seafood Merchants - Wright Bros Ltd of Borough Market - Original Restaurant.

Wright Brothers Borough Description

Perfectly located for a pit-stop from the bustling Market, Borough is the original Wright Brothers restaurant and where their growing wholesale business began.

The restaurant is intimate and informal with seating mostly arranged around a long oyster bar and two shared high-tables which offer views across the open kitchen. In Summer guests can sit outside around tall wooden barrels and soak up the vibrant atmosphere.

Head chef Rob Malyon's speciality is great ingredients cooked simply. The menu includes classics such as oysters, fruits de mer, moules marinières, as well as traditional dishes like their beef, Guinness and oyster pie. There is a daily-changing specials board ensuring the freshest seafood and seasonal produce.

The wine list pairs perfectly with the food on offer and there is a wide selection of cocktails, as well as an excellent range of bottled London craft beers.

Fresh in. What a beauty, Var Salmon!

Over the years our team have shucked 1000s of oysters, cracked hundreds of crabs and plated up plenty of seafood platters. Watch them in action as you dine on our marble oyster bar in Spitalfields tonight. 👌

Wonderful little restaurant serving some of the best fish I've ever tasted. I'm extremely fussy when I eat fish as I'm used to eating it within hours of being caught. The turbot I ate at Wright Bros fitted my fuss factor. It was simply stunning. I also had a delicious mackerel pâté. My husband had the cockles in brine (wasn't overly impressed) & a stunning fish platter which included the best mussels ever! Some great beers & a bottle of Sancerre made our night complete. Not cheap but quality costs. Lovely busy atmosphere & good service too. Treat yourself, you're worth it.

Superb selection on the menu and we weren't disappoint by the our selection. The fish was fresh and so well cooked and tasty. The wine was very good also and the desert was yummy. The staff were excellent and friendly along with being helpful.

Ps Expresso Martinis are superb.

User

Staff is very friendly and the seafood tastes fresh. One of my few faves in London. The "Escobar" cocktail was really good. If it's not on the menu, just ask for it. You will not be disappointed.

User

Only popped in for some wine and oysters, but it was totally delightful.

User

Lovely staff and amazing oysters! I will definitely be back!

It's a well run place. Very good oysters and fish. While not cheap (mains £20-25) bear in mind it's quality fish, expertly prepared in a prime location in London. The food are great. Lovely ambience too.

Had a bday dinner here last week and we all were really delighted about the experience. We had lots of food to share as a startes, main courses and wine, champagne and beer. Fiod was great as always and so fresh. Staff was really friendly, the french girl (sorry, didnt catch her name) and especially guy named Ethan who took care of us most of the evening and he did excellent job!
