Happy St. Andrews Day. To all of you with busy lives, instead of boiling your Clootie dumpling for 4 hours, try microwaving half a pack of our Ginger Cake Mix with, 30ml of oil, 100ml of water & 50g of sultanas for 4 minutes before pouring over warmed golden syrup prior to serving! Stay warm and enjoy a wee dram after! Deb the Bread

Another Instant Fruitcake! Thanks so much Sue for making this up with our Madeira Cake Mix this time – gosh these cake mixes are versatile aren’t they? Sue made up the pack of Madeira adding just 30ml of oil and then folded in the 320g jar of mincemeat. This recipe idea from Chris last year, will take a little longer to cook than the pack suggests and this one of Sue’s took 2 hours to bake through on gas mark 3. This beauty is for her local village Church Fete tomorrow so I hope she can resist it – Sue confirmed she will be making one for herself again before Christmas. This creates a marvellously moist cake and is definitely something to enjoy this weekend. Deb the Bread

Oh Chris – this clever cake is in a box so it must be going somewhere other than here with me, sadly! Chris made this Toffee Apple Cake using our Toffee cake mix with apple juice and diced apple. The cake is coated with toffee buttercream & looks like a dream. Thanks for sharing this one – Deb the Bread

Mandy loved her delivery of our Christmas Special that she received this morning and said she "can't wait to bake!" This little lot was £30.00 delivered and it should have been £50.00. This offer is available whilst stocks last. Deb the Bread

Wishing you an awesome St. Andrew’s Day today - why not make a good Scottish substitute for a Clootie Dumpling with our Ginger cake mix. The Clootie Dumpling takes hours of steaming and has many different ingredients - it is call Clootie because of the "clootie" or cloth in which it is cooked. This is a traditional favourite in Scotland (similar to Christmas pudding) and an excellent substitute is this Ginger Syrup Pudding recipe that is made in your microwave - in minutes! Another lovely cake here for #ChocolatesDay by Victoria! Delicious drip cake with our Chocolate Fudge used as a base and delightfully decorated with chocolates & chocolate strawberries. Is that an 'Oh So Glitter' cake topper I can see finishing off this amazing looking cake? Deb the Bread

Today is #ChocolatesDay & here’s proof that you can have your cake & eat it with this clever combination of Chocolates on a Chocolate Cake! Our version here was made in a bread making machine, covered with marzipan or fondant icing. Having picked up a box of chocolates on the way in to work to decorate the cake (without picking all the best ones out). We used the ribbon off the chocolate box to finish the cake. This all took under 2 hours. Just 1 hour’s baking in the bread machine. Sensational recipe below for this Chocolate Sensation Cake – made with our incredibly clever Chocolate Fudge Cake Mix! I mentioned Christmas yesterday with a post on creating your own stuffing for the festive period which really is a treat when made with homemade bread crumbs from one of our various mixes. Then Tony pops up with his Instant Fruitcake that he made with our Orange Cake Mix. This stemmed from Chris’s recipe idea last year where you add a 320g jar of mincemeat to one of our cake mix packets. Last year, Chris only used half the amount of vegetable oil required (30ml) due to the suet within the mincemeat and added 200ml of water to the mix. Because of the juice within the cake, it took a little longer to cook than normal but it provides a fabulously festive flavour throughout the cake and Tony brushed his with marmalade & a sprinkling of demerara sugar to the top. No surprise he has cut it already! Thanks Tony, Deb the Bread

User

the ginger cake is fantastic.

User

You cannot go wrong with these mixes - so easy.

Love the Orange cake one and the Ginger cake one and I often mix half and half - delicious.

The Ciabatta bread mix is the best every and I bake them in muffin tins.

User

Tried the toffee and as an avid baker I was dubious about trying a 'packet mix'. Well I am a convert! It was delicious with some choc chips in and a choc fudge topping. Cake tasted excellent on its own too. Would highly reccomend if you want something quick or don't do much baking or even baking with the children! Off to try the rest now ...

User

User

Love these cake mixes, so easy to prepare, lots to choose from. They've helped me out many times when I need to save time. All the family love them, our favourites are the toffee and the orange one.

User

If I can make them anyone can. I've tried the orange cake, maderia ( which I added coffee to) and I've tried a few bread mixes, all yummy

User

I'm not the world's greatest baker, but I do bake regularly- often from scratch, but not ashamed to use a mix from time to time. I find WB are the best & are terrific- and a mix doesn't mean you can't be creative with it. Oh & being a local co. to me is bonus, too NomNom

User

I used ur Toffee mix last week and it was perfect . I also needed some help with quantities, it was just fantastic to send an e-mail and getting a human response back quickly saved my baking!! . Especially as I am in Ireland.Thank you so much I will b using it again and telling all my friends.

User

I bought 3 of your Orange cake mix at the cake and bake show, event city Manchester and it is simply lovely. The little bits of orange add that extra yummyness. The next one I bake I'll add orange buttercream. This is a mix I will definitely be buying again.

User

Hi guys, baked your ginger cake mix over the weekend, added small crystalized ginger pieces in the mix, every bite had soft pieces of ginger, some slightly melted, it was exceedingly moist. I certainly will be trying your other cake mixes out. I order your bread flour every month, if they are anything like them I certainly will be ordering them too. Thanks guys.

User

Hi guys made your toffee cake last week when found the mixes in lidls just made the chocolate fudge loaf and found some bread mixes just need to find more now as in love with the cake mixes

User

Had the pleasure of meeting some of your people on Friday at the Cake & Bake show at the Royal Highland showground Ingliston. Very lovely and most helpful!

Never had a problem with any of the mixes that I've had in the past.

Treated myself to 3 packets of your new scone mix. Made them all up into fruit scones and it is fantastic. Not too sweet and not too savoury. Your mix is perfectly balanced to be either sweet or savoury! !

User

Great varieties of classic flavours to try - easy to use, adaptable to make a whole range of cakes and breads. Really happy with the samples I was sent to try and, now that I know that my local Sainsbury's stocks them, would be happy to choose more for future baking projects.

User

Excellent ...A great tasting cake...Chocolate Fudge cake,,,I wish my local supplier offered a larger range of Wrights products

User

As a first timer buying the “Classic Ciabatta Bread Mix” -it’s truly fool proof!!

During this really cold day and a long walk in the snow to the local farmers shop I stumbled across “Wright’s variety of cake and bread mixes....its a great idea for some really tasty home baked bread....nothing more homely than the aroma of home baking!

Highly recommend and can’t wait to try some of the other mixes.

User

After many years of attempting (and failing miserably) to make brownies, I used your brownie mix yesterday, and they were utterly perfect! I have already bought the toffee cake mix, so looking forward to that one too. Thank you for a fantastic product!
