Write As Rain: Written Word Therapy Description

Writing about our experiences (such as journalling) helps us to understand them, find solutions, and move forward. It's an effective tool for aiding personal development and change.

We offer four primary services:

- Writing therapy. Our highly qualified therapists offer an online, email-based therapy service that provides unmatched flexibility-no appointments, no travel, no waiting and no fuss. Simply email your therapist when you like, and receive a reply within three business days. We also offer this via Skype, telephone and instant messenger. We offer appointment times both within and outside of business hours. We also work with young people, however depending on age, parental consent may be required.

Write As Rain provides a breadth of free information for both helping professionals (including counsellors, therapists and writing group facilitators) and individuals, who wish to use the written word to improve wellbeing. With nearly thirty years of clinical evidence available, we pride ourselves on taking a strictly scientific, evidence-based approach to the effective use of writing for wellbeing.

For therapists and counsellors, the use of writing can be easily and effectively used to aide all major talk therapies, including CBT, Mindfulness, Narrative Therapy, DBT and more.

For creative writing or writing group facilitators, and individuals, we offer information and training on the therapeutic impact and potential of writing, including how you or your clients can get the most value out of writing.
