About Wychavon
Wychavon District Council
Wychavon Description
Wychavon covers 260 square miles and is the largest of six districts in Worcestershire. With a population of 116, 900, the district is made up of the three towns of Droitwich Spa, Evesham and Pershore, and nearly 100 villages.
Our headquarters are at the Civic Centre in Pershore, where most of our 330 staff are based. We also have Community Contact Centres in Droitwich and Evesham.
We're an entrepreneurial council that has gained fame for big projects like building Perhore hospital and re-opening the Droitwich Canals, and for running fun events like the British Asparagus Festival, based in Evesham.
Our focus at all times is on providing value for money for our residents

Tonight at Annual Council we welcomed our new councillors for the next 4 years. We also elected the new Chairman, re-elected leader, executive board and made appointments to committees.

We’re working hard to keep Wychavon clean but we need your help. If you love where you live why not become a volunteer litter picker and join our Adopt a Street scheme here www.wychavon.gov.uk/adopt-a-street.
Yay!
Did you know? Last year, 30% of all adults felt so stressed by their body image and appearance that they felt overwhelmed or unable to cope. Body image issues can affect all of us at any age and directly impact our mental health.
Today is the start of #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek (13-19 May). Hosted by Mental Health Foundation, the theme for 2019 is Body Image- how we think and feel about our bodies. Visit bit.ly/20GmRPu for more information #BeBodyKind
