It’s that time of year and everyone’s asking...
If you’re looking to manage your indulgences over the festive period, you need to have an eye on your overall calorie intake.
Alcohol does contain calories and is its own macro nutrient therefore SHOULD BE TRACKED like proteins, carbs and fats.
... However we don’t give clients a daily ‘alcohol allotment’ like we do with the others. And tracking alcohol macros can be difficult
Therefore my personal strategy is for any alcohol calories consumed to be subtracted from carbs, fats or a combination of both.

Remember Goldilocks in ‘The Three Bears’? Everything had to be ‘justtttt rightttt’ - The same goes with motivation! - Choose diets and exercise regimes that are too challenging or difficult and you get overwhelmed and anxious... - Choose diets and exercise regimes that are too easy and uninspiring and you get bored and demotivated - It’s a fine balance - But when you get it right my friend... that’s where motivation and results lie - And that’s called FLOW

Protein - It's kind of a big deal...
When clients first begin it is normally the lowest macronutrient present in their diet, but even with more advanced clients it's the first thing to drop as time goes on or as eating gets more flexible.
Re-balancing carbs and proteins in my experience is still one of the quickest way to manage stomach and love handle fat.
... But getting your levels right has a whole host of other benefits including: - Greater muscle mass/lean tissue - Less hunger on lower calorie intakes - Easier fat loss on calorie restricted diets - Better managed blood sugar (Think mood and energy) - Greater strength gains - Increased bone density (Especially important for women) - Better brain function - Better sleep
When was the last time you checked in on your protein intake?

Scott was great! Really helped me achieve goals including the London marathon. Thanks so much 💪
Scott is a very fun and engaging trainer who really knows his onions. I have been receiving nutritional guidance from him for the past two years to complement my training program and without this knowledge I wouldn't of hit the heights that I am currently at today. Thanks Scott
I have been training with Scott for 3 months now and he has transformed my attitude towards exercise. The training is hard work but fun- I really look forward to my sessions. Scott is also one of the most positive people I know and I always leave training feeling better both physically and mentally. I can highly recommend
