We are a friendly, dependable and paw-some dog walking service in Market Harborough.

Specialising in dog walking, home visits, sitting, pet taxi and wedding day dog chaperone services, our aim is to physically and mentally stimulate your pooch and get their tails wagging!

Your pet's safety is our top priority and we will always care for your dog as if they were our own.


A BIT ABOUT THE LEADER OF THE PACK. . . .

My name is Diana. I live with my partner Julian, our 5 year old Golden Labrador, DJ and our 3 year old black
Labrador X Retriever Donny!
(At times my partner may assist me with some of our services! )

We are based in the picturesque dog friendly village of Hallaton, with the beautiful rural Leicestershire and
Rutland countryside on our doorstep, perfect for Yappy Tail walkies! !

I grew up with a variety of animals from hamsters to goats, but dogs have always had a special place in my heart!
It was my love of dogs that led me to become an Approved Puppy Socialiser and Foster Carer for Medical Detection Dogs (MDD), a charity that train specialist dogs to detect life-threatening medical conditions.
I take care of these amazing dogs in my own home where my job is to help socialise and train them to a set standard. Once approved, these qualified dogs will be carefully matched and partnered with a client who has a life-threatening illness.

Our very own Donny started life training to be a Medical Alert Dog. We met him a few times during his training days and he instantly stole our hearts with his handsome face and mischievous ways. When we heard he didn't quite make the programme, we immediately applied to adopt him. Our application was successful and he quickly settled in to become the fourth member of the Yappy Tails Pack.

From organising fundraising events and delivering talks to help raise awareness for MDD's to running my own puppy training classes and studying for various canine courses, I quickly realised that every spare moment I had was dedicated to my passion, dogs! So in the summer of 2014 I decided to work in the field I love and Yappy Tails Dog Services was born!

I am qualified in Canine First Aid and I hold a Diploma in Canine Behaviour and Puppy Training. We are DBS verified and fully insured, so you can feel confident that your pet is in good hands.

I am an independent business and I spend time building a relationship with each pet. Their safety is our top priority and we will always care for your dog as if they were our own.

MEET AND GREET. . .

Every dog and owner is unique, therefore, we like to meet you both before-hand to discuss your requirements and learn about any special preferences, favourite treats, tricks, toys and tickle spots! This not only helps us to get to know your dog, but it also allows your dog to become familiar with us, so they feel comfortable in our care.

ADVENTURE WALKS:

Our adventure walks include a variety of on-lead exercise / walks (and off-lead with prior consent) in various dog friendly parks, forests and trails which include but are not limited to:
Sykes Lane Dog Park at Rutland Water (enclosed area)
Welland Park Dog Park (enclosed area)
Exton Park
Brooke Hill (enclosed area)
George Henry Woods (enclosed area)

HOME VISITS AND LET OUT SERVICE:

We also offer home visits and ‘let-out’ services.
I will pop to your home and spend quality time with your dog. This includes lots of fuss, attention and companionship, plenty of playtime, training reinforcement, clean-up, fresh water refill, brushing and feeding if required.
This service is perfect if you are out at work all day, away for the weekend or on a day trip. . . I can pop in once, twice or three times a day if required.

For peace of mind, we will also provide you with updates and photos via email /text, so you can rest-assured that your dog is happy and being taken care of.

PET TAXI SERVICE:
We also offer a Pet Taxi Service. Fully insured, DBS Certified,
Canine First Aid Trained and with a full clean driving licence, we will transport your pet to and from the groomers, vets, kennels, dog sitters and during house moves safely and in comfort.
