Is it even summer without Pimms?

Recently came in with my boyfriend and we had a first class meal, I had the Thai green curry and he had the BBQ Chicken melt and we loved it! The food prices are fantastic and wine and beer are well priced too! Highly recommend, great atmosphere too.

I love spending time at Yates. The foods great at really low prices and the atmosphere is amazing. It's a good place to relax and to spend time with friends, either watching my favourite sports or having a cheap night out at the weekend.

Had lovely food here today...good atmosphere on a sat afternoon ...and very reasonable prices...totally recommend

A lovely pub which has just been refurbished to a high standard. Very friendly, helpful staff, excellent service and a good menu selection.

We only go in once a year for gold cup day yesterday fri 17th March we went in the staff seemed friendly got serverd very quickly I'm looking forward to next year when we go back in

There was a bit of a wait for food but that was not surprising as it was packed. Food was lovely and staff were friendly and polite. Would go back.

Staff are alway friendly and helpful. Remember your oddities . Sports and light music in back ground so u can talk and can watch the sports

I was in Cheltenham for the races this year, went to Yates as i always do and it didn't let me down

The food got to my group quicker, considering the amount of people that were in there.

Pints was a tad expensive but cheaper than other bars i went to in the town.

I lost my coat in Yates on the Friday night and the doorman helped me find it by getting a member of staff to go out back and check it

Always in here as am a student and prices are low and food is decent. Was in here Wednesday before our last varsity game and was busier than usual but staff coped well and didn't have to wait long for my food at all!

... What can I say about Cheltenham??

Most DJ's or clubbers will get what I am on about, when you DJ somewhere totally different and don't know anyone, you got to hope that people turn up and see you.



When the barman says Friday's are quiet so it will be an easy night I wasn't sure what to expect. Was great to see people come into Yates Cheltenham and enjoy music so much that they were going and getting their friends from other bars and messaging friends to come down and party. Amazing feeling to know that everyone enjoyed my DJing so much and spread the word so quickly that the place filled up in no time. Even ladies who work at local Hospital were commenting on how much fun they were having. Real good feeling going to a completely new place and getting such fan reviews.

Went to Yates New Year’s Day we all had breakfast arrived quickly the only thing tha lets you down you put the price up on beers when racing is on is this allowed

Ordered a traditional breakfast, under £3 so expect it to be edible. The breakfast was advertised to come with chips, the waitress brought out or food and when I politely asked where the chips were she was very abrupt and rude. Firstly telling me if you look at the menu you can see only the large breakfast comes with chips, all of the breakfasts were advertised that they would come with chips. She then checked herself realised they made a mistake, went into the kitchen to bring them out. Very rudely said the reason we didn't bring them out in the first place was because these breakfasts don't include chips... Menu also stated you could tea or coffee but we were not given this, neither did I want to ask the waitress to bring it out as I'm sure she would of had something more to say to make us fee even more uncomfortable. We had our sauces and was told if we could hurry up and use them as there were only 4 sauce baskets for the entire pub! As it's cheap food you don't expect 5* food and service but the service I received wasn't great and regardless of how much you pay you don't expect to be spoken to like a 5 year old.

I had a pint of San Miguel which was served in a beer glass so the taste and texture of the lager were totally ruined. The barman responsible should be sacked but I suppose that is what you come to expect from these chain pubs. The staff are muppets and are managed by muppets.

Prices have gone up and don't do that meal deal anymore I won't be going their again

I'm a respectful man. I rarely get impatient with things that are out of my control. But this place genuinely has the worst bouncers I've ever experienced. To the point where I thought I would take the time to write this review.



My. Shorts. Were. Too. Long.



People stood metres away in shorts I would deem to be (a) considerably more revealing, (b) exactly the same fabric/style, and (c) not threatening in the way that apparently shorts can be. Yes, my shorts were too "sporty" on the night of a world cup quarter final, which the bouncers told me was "threatening".



I'm about as threatening as a tea cosy. People who know me will vouch for that. And I don't even like the world cup.



But these bouncers need to maintain order. Order like a child not getting a lollipop because they said the word "fart" without knowing it's true meaning. Order like a blue passport - a symbol of pettiness beyond comprehension.



And yes, you could argue my argument is void due to the same pettiness, but know that I have never even come close to having this issue in the following cities: Bristol. London. Liverpool. Manchester. Birmingham. Edinburgh. To name but a few.



A small town mentality should not be limiting to the free thinkers and cultural expressers of our time. And all I did was wear shorts that were slightly too long.



When 20+ friends get let in ahead of me, despite varying styles and levels of drunkness, the only logical conclusion to make is that the bouncers held an arbritray personal grudge against my appearance, in order to keep their modicum of self importance intact.



My compatriots all left shortly thereafter (about 30 minutes later). So clearly I wasn't missing out on anything at all by going inside. I'm not local to Cheltenham, and I know night out options are relatively limited, but that feeling is exacerbated by gatekeeping to the point of clothing discrimination.



It's just unnecessary. The whole affair.



Loosen up. Or you're gonna get left behind. You're already miles behind everywhere else.

I used to love goin here but was here last Friday nite I was sat minding my own business sat down luking thru my phone and 1 bouncer asks me to cum with him so I do and leads me outside and says sorry u have to go ur to drunk!!?!?!!? Wtf I've Neva been kicked out for bein to quiet before sorry but U need to sort the that out spoke to ppl outside they all said he picks on ppl but rele!! I did nothing wrong I won't b goin here again
