Term 1 complete! Thanks to all the family and friends who came to our festive showing of work yesterday. It was so lovely to see everyone and share what we have been up to! . . . Special thanks goes out to Musical Director @joe_atkins, Choreographer Kath Waters and recorder teacher Lesly-Jane Edgar for all their hard work with the company over the last 2 weeks. 🌲🌲🌲

What better way to have ended Friday than with a bit of dance for the first show. Disclaimer: it involves mop choreography.

Incredible experience! I met so many wonderful people and learnt a lot. Plus Stratford is a great place to spend a year.

I did Year Out Drama in 2001-02, and it was without question the best year of my life. I'm now a professional actor, and there's no way I would ever have got anywhere in the career which I love without the invaluable training I received in Stratford, but more than that it was absolutely transformative for me as a person, in the best possible way. Not many of my contemporaries chose to go into the industry, but I'm sure just about all of them would agree this was the best thing they could possibly have done with their gap year. If you are even slightly considering applying, whether you think a career in showbiz is for you or not, do it, do it, do it. You won't regret it.

I can’t rate Year Out Drama highly enough! It was a truly phenomenal experience and valuable lessons were learnt both on and off stage. I wouldn’t be where I am today without Year Out Drama, so thank you for so much more than a year of theatre and performing.

I attended YOD in 2004-5. It was a total life changer and a year that will stay with me for the rest of my life. It's not for the faint hearted. It's for those seriously wanting to be in this industry. It was full of long hours and lines, harmonies and dance routines to learn. Debs brought in some incredible directors to work with us on some brilliant shows and we ended with a weeks run at the Edinburgh Fringe. There are so many "money makers" out there aimed at budding actors but this course is built with an intense and immense amount of love and with every fiber of Deborah Moody's being. This course sets people up. This course sees the majority go on to drama schools and/or other routes to a life as a professional performer. This course is priceless. I now teach professional actors and direct theatre (among many things) which I love dearly. I can very clearly map my journey from YOD. Not only that but YOD is a family. Alumni are everywhere and we'll always support each other. Without a question I would suggest anyone apply for this course.
