About Yetga Theatre School

YETGA Theatre School is a registered charity in the heart of Willenhall, that stands to offer high quality arts facilitation for a low price - sometimes even for free! Unlike many similar organisations, our primary aim is not to make money, and we are not a 'franchise', we simply exist to engage people from all walks of life in the arts. We believe that everyone should have access to drama and the arts and money should not be a stumbling block and that's why all of our regular evening and weekend classes for both adults and children (except advanced level examination classes) cost £5 or less for 2 or 3 hour
sessions - the same price they've cost for 20 years. We do this job because we love it and we care about every person that walks through our door, and that's why you'll find all of our staff to be friendly, fun and compassionate, and our working environment, a safe, supportive, dynamic, and fully inclusive place to be.

We offer four main tiers of classes:

ELEVEN & UNDER
In these two hour group classes, the children will be learning the fundamentals of a wide variety of performance techniques: acting, singing, dancing, musical theatre, mime, improvisation, stage technique and much more. The children will work towards an annual variety production that showcases all of the skills that they have been working on in an interesting, imaginative and unique format. In this class they also have the option to take a Trinity group musical theatre examination, for no extra tuition cost (just the examination fee).

MAINSTREAM
This for children aged eleven to eighteen (and sometimes older). In this class, the students work towards putting on a stage musical once every six months. They will be learning lines, being directed, learning songs and dance routines and putting on a two night performance at a theatre. These sessions are three hours.

EXAMINATIONS
We offer examination classes with internationally recognised examination boards, LAMDA and Trinity, in acting, musical theatre, speaking with confidence, performance skills, verse and prose and many more. These examinations lead to nationally recognised qualifications that can also award you additional UCAS points (advanced performance only) to help towards University applications, as well as teaching you the key performance skills and techniques required to be a top performer, taught with two separate processes that two of the top drama schools in the world recommend. These sessions are one-to-one tutoring sessions, and times vary dependant on the grade and examination type.

ESSENTIAL PRODUCTIONS
This is our sixteen plus class for adults. We refer to this class as our ‘semi-professional’ group as we treat this production and the actors as though we were working towards staging a full pro show. EP works towards two shows a year; the first is a nine month rehearsal period and is a large scale original musical (with music, script and lyrics all written by our in-house writers), and the second with just a three month rehearsal period, is our annual pantomime (again, originally written by our writing team). These sessions are three hours each.

YETGA Theatre School is situated just 5 minutes walk from Morrison's, Willenhall however, we are notoriously tricky to find. We are situated in Victoria Buildings, right in the middle of three roads; Stringes Lane, New Hall Street and New Railway Street. Our main
entrance lies down New Railway Street; a small through road, that is very easy to miss. Our entrance is just opposite from 'Shine Star Banqueting Suite', and can be found easily by putting the postcode 'WV13 1LJ' into the SATNAV in your car or on your phone. For more information or to get involved, please don’t hesitate to give us a call on 07780524915 / 01902 637959 or drop us a message on Facebook (@YETGA).
