Yew Tree Inn

The Yew Tree may have the best selection of single variety ciders in the world. It was awarded top cider pub of Herefordshire. It also has real ales and excellent toothsome table fare. The ciders and perries are made at the farm a stone's throw away from the pub.

Make sure to ask for a tasting at the cider bottle shop, which is a separate building right next to the pub. This place is a destination for anyone interested in real cider. When I went they had over 70 different ciders and perries for sale.

Great little pub in an isolated setting. At the rear is a warehouse where a local cider producer makes and sells his wares. The pub comprises of two low-ceilinged rooms all very comfortably appointed. Usually three cask beers on the bar, plus draught and bottled ciders. The lunches are all home produced and you can tell the quality and care that goes into such a simple dish as ham, egg, and chips; the ham was superb! Highly recommended.

Very homely and friendly . The food is great don't expect an extensive menu but plenty enough for most people and freshly cooked.

Fantastic country pub, lively atmosphere, great music, fresh home cooked food. Wednesday is pie and pint night, Thursday is sausage and cider night. One of the best pubs in Ross.
