About Yha Brighton

YHA Brighton is a hostel in the city centre, just a stones throw from the beach, pier and lots of other amazing attractions

Yha Brighton Description

YHA Brighton, in all its Regency grandeur, is on the doorstep of all of Brighton’s most exciting attractions. You will find us less than a minute’s walk from the world famous Brighton Pier, two minutes from the Prince Regent’s magnificent Pavilion and three minutes from the medieval Lanes shopping area. Brighton is famous for its liberal values and forward thinking attitude. Here you will find an abundance of independent boutiques, quirky pubs and comfy alternative cafés.

Aside from the three major festivals - Brighton Fringe, Brighton Festival and Brighton Pride, there is a year round programme of entertainment from alternative comedy through camp cabaret to contemporary art. And if you need a stylish base for a trip to London, Brighton is fab for groups and just a quick and easy drive down the motorway!

FREE WI-FI available in communal areas for guests!

Last weekend YHA Brighton entered a team into the annual Paddle Round The Pier event, in the ‘Paddle Something Unusual’ category.
With our challenge being to make a raft on no budget, our unusual raft ended up being made from beer kegs (they were empty, don’t worry!), and any other spare materials lying around the hostel!
After a turbulent start with a capsize within the first 5 seconds of boarding our vessel, we are proud to say that we completed the race! Albeit with out r...aft upside down, and a little bit less dry than when we started...
Well done team Brighton! We smashed it 💪💪💪
Now let’s get planning for next year... ⛵️

So today the #mentalhealthawarenessweek YHA Virtual walk took me on a run to Brighton Marina, and I discovered a cute little trail that looks like it’s straight out of the Bahamas! Well... almost 😉 #mentalhealthawarenessweek #virtualwalk #exercise #discover #discoverbrighton

Well personally I think our #mentalhealthawarwnessweek virtual walk team in the Lakes have an unfair advantage with this as an incentive... 🤔

YHA are supporting mental health awareness week this week, with our lovely staff members participating in a virtual walk step challenge from YHA Berwick to YHA Lands End to promote mental wellbeing through exercise.
Get out and amongst it and de-stress yourself with a walk around our beautiful planet, wherever you may be!
Here’s some pictures of my walk along the Brighton coastline, smashing 10,000 Steps before midday! 💪
... And remember, look out for each other’s mental well-being! Reach out to your friends, family or loved ones if you are feeling stressed - talking about it is a powerful thing!

Our new art installation courtesy of artist Santiago Ruiz Campos.
“This art installation is an invitation to travel, to know places around the globe beyond the most popular destinations. The goal is to discover, explore and live adventures in our marvellous world, to go further, even to the moon.
The work is made out of entirely recyclable materials, which connect with the idea of taking care of your surroundings with respect, but moreover with joy and beauty, giving the mos...t of yourself at every moment of life.”

We popped in today for tea and cake. Lovely lad served us and bought our tea over. We had the best tea cosy I have ever seen, sheep, toadstools and all sorts. Made my day. The art is incredible and had a great time out from a hectic day. Spot on.

User

Very clean double on suite room with a sea view £65 for the night. Staff are fabulous & very helpfull and professorial. We unfortunately missed breakfast. Great spot to get around all of Brighton. Thank you for a great stay. We will be staying again : ) xxx

User

Stayed there this weekend for a stag do staff were very welcoming and good to talk to came back from a night out and still chatting At 4 in morning. Would highly recommend . Thanks tall paul

User

Really excellent value accommodation. Our room was just right. Delicious coffee and pastries for breakfast as couldn't manage a Full English! Will definitely come again!

User

Modern facilities in majestic period rooms. Best accommodation we have found in Brighton at this price point (and the next few price points above!!!).

Well cooked full English breakfast and fresh cooked pastries.

Very friendly and helpful staff.

Highly recommended!

A far cry from the massive drafty dorms of the 80s. If you haven't visited a Youth Hostel in a few years, go ahead and treat yourself. You'll be pleasantly surprised.

User

Great place to stay .One of the cheapest and best places to stay. Definitely be back .Breakfast was £5.75 just what you need first thing in the morning

User

Fantastic Youth Hostel! Modern, arty, quirky and comfortable accommodation set in an old hotel. Perfect location to the beach, pavilion and shopping. Lots of late night food shopping near! Stayed in a room for 4 (with family) beds were comfy, loads of space in the room and I loved the wallpaper. Bathroom was really new and modern with a great shower. Perfect for a family, groups and lone travellers. Defiantly come back, soon hopefully! ;-)

User

Couldnt have asked for more. Comfy beds, clean through out and amazing location. Brillent value for money. Will book to stay again really frendly staff. The only thing that was a downfall was the breakfast could be better!

User

Brilliant location, price and fun with the kids. Great to have own family room and have stayed in the private en suite room too. Clean, modern and fantastic welcome from all of the staff. Great find in an otherwise pricey town, and supporting the YHA!

User

Awesome place .. Friendly clean tidy nice bar good rooms good bathroom good kitchen and so close to beach ! X

User

Absolutely loved staying here. The staff were fabulous. Polite, courteous and eager to help - nothing was a problem. The room was lovely and completely defunct my view of the YHA.

I'd definitely book in here again - so impressed.

User

Absolutely awesome, beautiful rooms, friendly staff, will be back again! Can't not recommend this place highly enough, currently eating a full English breakfast. ...WOW is all I can say :)

User

This is a lovely hostel, right next to the coach station so you don't have to drag your luggage too far! Friendly, helpful staff & a beautiful sea view from my window! A bit cold as it's a grand old building & Brighton is a lively (noisy) town but I slept very well. Missed breakfast but had a big slice of carrot cake & a coffee for £3

User

So far a great stay but I found a mouse in the kitchen

User

Really nice clean rooms. Close to the town and friendly staff. Good value for money money for large group bookings as I had my hen night there with 24 in total.

User

Great hostel but the area is a bit too noisy at night for my tastes. On the up side, easy walk from the railway station, good busses and a stones throw from the beach (almost litterally)

User

The accommodation was fantastic, clean and very functional and pleasant to look at too. Other facilities in the building were also very good and most importantly they sell good coffee. There were plenty of games to entertain the children.

Unfortunately, the customer service wasn't particularly good. You could almost say that the male member of staff I dealt with was rude and pretty arrogant. He definitely needs some lessons in customer services.

User

Everything was fine apart of housekeeping team and a bedroom too close to the lift bedroom small. Uncomfortable to lift the boogie few steps up to the lift

User

The Noisiest place I have ever tried to sleep - man played bong drums outside until 04:00 AM - however apart from not sleeping AT all for the 2nd year in a row it's a nice hostel good value laid back good food
