The Youth Hostel makes a great base for an exciting activity break and activities for all abilities are provided by our partners Mendip Outdoor Pursuits. If high octane activities and adventures aren't your thing, you can take it easier with some wonderful local walks and cycle routes.

Lovely staff and perfectly located. Facilities are fine for self catering.
Located in a quiet area of Cheddar, not far from the high street and the gorges (all accessible by foot), this hostel is friendly and clean. I stayed in dorm 2, toilets and showers just a few meters away on the landing. The dorm was clean and a good size for 4 people. The staff was friendly and helpful. I had a great time this weekend, thank you!
I love it here. 2nd time I've been. Both times with children; so child friendly and the facilities and showers are fab! Garden great for children and the team are so laid back. We were able to use the communual dining area for our self catering meal, others used the garden for a group bbq! Walking distance to everything, to child friendly pubs, the village and gorge. Will visit again.

We had a good stay in Cheddar.The accommodation was good and there was adequate parking for our group. We enjoyed good walks in the Cheddar area, and hope to return for another reunion.
Stayed here using Exclusive Hire for my wife's 30th birthday so that all the family could be in one place. Excellent value for money and a fantastic weekend had by all! Very comfortable, plenty of choice of bedrooms, warm and a lovely location. We had free run of the property and use of the facilities which was very useful for a gathering of 24 people. We will definitely look to book here again for the next 'family do' Thank you very much YHA Cheddar! You were great!
I don't go until 25th September 2017! Will review the hostel then.
