Incredibly accommodating staff who were able to help us after a late arrival, and who cheerfully went out of their way to make an allergen-free breakfast. Pleasant rooms and plenty of space to relax, too!

Elegant building, informative staff, comfortable rooms. Pleasant two course evening meal at a reasonable price served at the table to our group. Good breakfast provided. Efficient. clean, huge drying room.

Just 2 minutes walk out of the centre of Grasmere the YHA Grasmere was easy to find. It had a good size dining room and also a nice sitting room for chilling out in. The staff was really nice and welcoming too. There too was a decent amount of showers and toilets as well though I felt the floors and beds was too creaky and the bed covers was very rustly when changing position which made sleeping for me quite difficult as I am a light sleeper. Everything thing else was great so i would recommend ear plugs if your a light sleeper and maybe choose the top bunk as well

Really great location- there are lots of lovely walks to go on around the hostel. The staff were very friendly and helpful- they went above and beyond. The rooms, although clean, were quite dated, and the bathrooms weren't brilliant- broken shower heads in a couple of the showers.

Great place for camping flat area, great facilities for washing and cooking, really friendly staff , plenty of areas to sit and relax inside if raining.

Lovely inside and out. Although the website didn't say, there is a self catering kitchen + utensils, pots and pans etc.
If not there is a communal 3 course meal for £8.50/pp (as of writing)

Superb location, good clean hostel, friendly and helpful staff. This is a wonderful lakes house in magnificent grounds, a great base for a lakes holiday.
