Yha Hawkshead

Many improvements since my last visit. Great location. Could do with more seating in the kitchen area.

Room and facilities were very good and clean. WiFi only available in the courtyard which isn't particularly useful but worked nonetheless. Breakfast was great and filling. Only disappointment was the food service in the evening which took over an hour to arrive and was fairly sub par for the price.

An excellent experience, little touches not normally included in hostels such as bedding, 5 star food hygiene for the meals-which were amazing- and WiFi and TV. Overall a recommended great place.

The hostel is in a picturesque location overlooking one of the lakes. We stayed in self-catering accommodation which was very clean and the kitchen was well-equipped. Staff were welcoming, helpful and efficient so overall a great experience.

The first day we arrived it was a gorgeous day so we were able to take a look around the large outdoor areas and gawk at the tall trees. There are so many rooms. The room I'm staying in is bunk beds galore and has two sinks with mirrors. It could do with more plugs though. 8 16 yr old girls sharing a room and only 3 plugs D: . There are so many things you can do and only the holidays to do it in.

Main house very nice, beds and bedding very good. Underneath beds and down sides rather dusty and cobwebs to velux windows. Good spring clean needed. Staff very welcoming and good natured at all times.

Good place to stay and friendly staff....after night out came back to hostal 2 AM ...could open the door ..ringed to ask help.staff came and opened door with smile on face ....

Rooms were warm, beds were super comfy. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was the best part. Great variety and good quality. The views were stunning and I will definitely be back

Rooms clean and comfortable, breakfast ample, staff seem friendly, communal areas pleasant. Everything to be expected from a YHA. Good location.
