Yha Keswick

Very clean and staff pleasant . Situated in an ideal spot only problem was parking couldnt get parked until after 5 oclock..

My second visit to the lakes this year! In March I stayed in Yha Ambleside! I stayed at Yha Keswick for one night, 23rd April! Staff very friendly and helpful, Nathan and Sam! It was my second visit to Keswick! Keswick is stunning well worth a visit! Room was fantastic! Superb facilities! I stayed in room 206 which overlooks the sports facilities!

My fourth visit and despite the work being carried out to repair the devastating flood damage this Hostel still deserves 5 Stars. OK, you have to climb the 215th Wainwright to get in but that's why we visit the Lakes isn't it? The place deserves 5 Stars for its location alone. 5 minutes from Wetherspoons for a hearty breakfast. (They will feel the difference when the YH restaurant is open again). A Fish and Chip Shop round the corner that does deals for pensioners. Too many Pubs, Cafes, Restaurants and Shops to name; all on the doorstep or within a short strolling distance. The staff are as friendly, helpful and informative as ever, despite their working conditions not being ideal while the work is being carried out. What can I say? Warm, dry, comfy and clean and, despite the Hostel being almost fully booked, I never had to wait for a shower. All this before the "improvements" - I can't wait!!

Lovley staff. Friendly and helpful. Fantastic setting by the river just a short walk from the town centre. Great hostel dispite the problem with the flood that I understand will be rectified soon.

Lovely YHA...great for families as it’s directly opposite Fitz Park which is great for children to play in. Superb hostel, very clean, large self-catering kitchen and kids (age 2 and 4) loved the cooked breakfasts. Staff very friendly and helpful. We’ve stayed here before (and in many other YHA’s) and will be back again. Very reasonably priced when staying mid week and out of season. Highly recommend. Only issue is there’s no parking, but we got parked on the road every nearby (you need a parking disc though and can only park for 2hrs between 8:00-18:00).

Looking good since the redecoration after the flood. Great bar and self catering areas. Still retainsbits character. Some redecorating still going on but didnt impact on the stay. Nice room and comfy beds, Looking forward to going back. Great location. Couple of mins from Keswick town centre.

It's my first time at a hostel ever and this was a great place - Friendly people, the location is spot on next to the river, the places is clean so over all it's been fantastic.

I led a schools rugby tour to keswick and we stayed at the YH - the staff were superb and I’d look to return, both for school in the future and with the family!

Had a lovely night in Keswick with friends, hostel was great, really clean, organised and the staff were welcoming and friendly with good local knowledge . Managed to get parked free up the road. Will definitely be returning - thanks

Would have given a 4 star especially for the wonderful staff, and I know the workmen are doing their best, however, the showers didn't work (2 day stay) not what you want after long days on the fells!

Stayed overnight because I had an interview in whinlatter forest. The lake district is a great place to visit in my opinion and this hostel is in a good location to the town centre and walks to friars rock which I recommend everyone going to visit because of the great view. You can only check in at 3pm. The shower door was rotting and they are having work done on the building but other than that i think it is a great place to stay. There is no specific parking for the hostel so its confusing and had to park at the leisure centre up the road
