We turned up at 10pm after finishing a very long walk by torchlight... the staff made us pizza. Great team, idyllic spot, highly recommend.

We had our wedding party here a few years ago and the staff were absolutely fantastic, they could not have been more helpful!

We had my daughters wedding weekend at the YHA in July 2015. Fantastic treatment by staff, wonderful location and facilities.

This YHA is a little gem on a hill. Beautiful surroundings, nice fire pit outside, so peaceful and the staff are lovely. Immaculate kitchen and the facilities are clean and better than some hotels. Didn’t want to leave! � loads of paths that lead of everywhere and Loughrigg Fell right opposite, which is a MUST to explore, some of the best views �� Each YHA has a different feel, compared to Ambleside, which is equally amazing, in the village, with a lively vibe. The Langdale YHA is surrounded by nature, tranquil and relaxed up on a hill, both very different but fab!

Thank you very much for a great stay! Great venue, great value, great team. Full marks for the Fred Whitton dinner and the 0500 hrs breakfast!! Well impressed.

Seemingly limitless hot water even with 100 adults showering - upgrades appear to be helping!

Miranda and her team are amazing. Stayed here on an exclusive hire group and the place was amazing as always. OutdoorLads have been coming here for years and we absolutely love it. New showers and toilets were brilliant too! Great to see the place being upgraded. See you next year!

Just enjoyed a 3 night break here; great quiet location with super friendly staff - I'll be looking to stay again next time I'm up in the Lakes

Great venue and area. I came with a large group and we booked the entire hostel. Clean, comfortable and lots of hot water.

Came for great north swim. Stayed in the family room and have had a brilliant wknd. Room was great. Facilities for kids were fantastic. Back to basics .. monopoly, table tennis, chess and foozball. They had Wi-Fi but didn't need it with proper family entertainment. Would definitely stay again !!!!

An amazing location and a beautiful building. Lots of comfy squishy sofas in the common room and a great drying room. Clean and plentiful washrooms.

Amazing location and great friendly service. The fella serving breakfast was as delicious as the bacon.
