stayed in a private room with a friend. toilets were clean, well stocked bar, beautiful location, tv room and reading room. Kitchen would be a bit of a squeeze if lots of people cooked at same time (lots of hobs, but all in same corner). but loads of room in fridges etc to put your food.

Returning school visitors. Cannot commend it highly enough: beautiful setting, fabulously friendly staff and loads to do in the locale.

Great experience staying one night. Helpful staff. Clean hostel. Nice food. Gorgeous campsite with fire pit. Views and location amazing. Good access if arriving from from river.

First time here and was great. Hostel was clean staff friendly and welcoming. Area is fantastic with lots to do whether your interested in nature, history or even shopping (Hereford only 30 mins away). Some great walks. Will be coming back

Another fantasic stay at Welsh Bicknor bought the family for the first time kids loved the freedom camping, loved the new ports loos perfect staff as friendly and helpful as ever. It was family fun. Until a young group turned up to stay in one of the bell tents then mayhem for the night with drunkenness shouting swearing and breaking trees down in the woods never got to sleep till 2.30am such a shame for a lovely family site but all peace and quiet was resumed the next day as soon as they drunken yobs left phew will be back again soon facilities spot on

A fantastic location for this well cared YHA with friendly and helpful staff. Great walks directly from it too. I stayed in Maple room and I wasn't disappointed; breakfast 🍳 was excellent too. The instructions to reach the hostel sent by email are clear and it's clearly indicated all the way down to the hostel. Get ready for an "adventure" drive to reach it but hey, it's well worth it! I will be back. Thank you for my great weekend despite the strange weather!

A fantastic location. Bell tents very comfortable. Toilets a bit far to walk.

Situated in a beautiful setting but for camping experience have to score it low. No toilet facilities at the camp - (you hv to take a walk up the hill) quiet time is from 11pm bit late for us. Wish we had booked the canoeing and archery though.

Amazing location although terrifying access road... recommend arrival by canoe! Staff very friendly and helpful despite lots of people seemingly expecting hotel/waitress service and generally ordering them about. Other guests spoiled our experience genetic - constant noise until 1am on the campsite and people slamming car doors and running engines very late - could do with a warden patrol and a rule of quiet after 10pm. Felt unwelcome in self-catering kitchen/dining area indoors as some families with young children had taken them over as if it were 'their' space, so sat outside with a cuppa in the dark... fantastic customer service, though, and lovely camping area, neighbour-dependant!
