We've only been to YOLO a couple of times to be fair, but what a great find, nice atmosphere with friendly young staff, very popular on the weekends I've been told, but just look at the deals on their food through the week! we'll be back ASAP...to use another acronym! :-)

Had a great visit at Yolo cocktails super tasty, delicious bbq pizza and topped off by great service from the Manager Dean.

Lovely lunch and cocktails with friends. Staff very chatty, and lovely service.

Booked a booth for 8 of us on Friday night. Great food, great atmosphere & worked our way through the cocktail menu they were all amazing!! Will definitely be returning!

My daughter celebrated her 18th Birthday here in the mezzanine, cocktaiks we're amazing,staff were lovely, the only negative thing I would say is at the beginning of the party there was only one poor girl on the bar alone, people were queuing for nearly 30 minutes, I would recommend putting an extra person on just for the first hour as after that it was fine 😊😊

Came on Saturday for a birthday treat off my daughter, sister and best friend, first ever time and I can’t complain, the food (chicken and steak platter and pasta) was lovely as were the cocktails I had. Staff were friendly n polite just as I’d expect having worked in the restaurant business. Hoping to come back soon and try something different. Well done 👏🏼👏🏼

Beautiful place. Very delicious drinks. Unfortunaltey rude staff clearly inexperienced with good customer service.

Regular customer, drinks are always great but food last week was awful! We did complain and were offered free drinks but service has started to drop for sure. Tables standing dirty after customers have left, I cleaned my own table! Not many friendly faces and staff stood on their phones behind the bar whilst your waiting to be served. There was one exception, a young girl who couldn’t be faulted.

Not a great 1st experience. Twelve in our party and six of the meals were not as ordered. Missing items i.e. ordered a chicken BLT ended up with a piece of chicken and a slice of bacon. Told the waitress no tomato, lettuce or mayo. Meal came back still missing the mayo!!! Missing mushrooms on a pizza, waitress took the pizza, came back and it had raw mushrooms on!! As for dessert, forget the Eton mess! Quarter of a strawberry, small piece of meringue the rest was cream! Staff were pleasant bit on the whole would not recommend!

Nice bar, well decorated, very popular, food was ok, my hanging kebab was nice but my chips were a bit greasy as there was lots of bits of batter in from the fish that had been fried as well. The burgers looked fab and everyone seemed to enjoy them and the spaghetti dishes came in 2 sizes and were also well received.

It's my second experience having food here and once again it was a disappointment. My friend and I wanted to share the bill and asked to put everything on a tab to which they replied "we don't do tabs" little bit strange but we understand as we work in hospitality ourselves. We waited just over half an hour for 2 sandwiches, when they eventually came we were given no cutlery or napkins, only when we went to the bar to ask did we get some. Still feeling hungry after our sandwiches we decided to order donuts for dessert and again we were disappointed, they were cold and almost frozen in the middle. We understand things can be overlooked when you're busy but we were the only customers in the venue. Sadly won't be going back again

I love Yolo, visit all the time for drinks in the summer. Called in yesterday for food, and the place was freeeezing!!! All 5 customers were sitting in scarves! The food was average, the barmaid not very friendly (maybe she was feeling the cold too) and the dirty dishes not cleared away even though the place was empty! Wish I had continued further and gone to Catch, it's always lovely and warm there!

Good Morning, Yesterday evening we came for dinner to celebrate a birthday, unfortunately, we did encounter a number of issues with the service we received during our visit.



Although the customer service mostly though the evening was very good apart from one occasion at the bar regarding slight attitude from a staff member about when a starter should be served to the table, resulting in “well I just explained that to you” remark from one of your colleagues when communication from our party got confused to why a stater would be served at the time of a main during ordering.



The main issue last night was the lack of preparation of our mains, there were 12 people attending and three people had to have their food sent back as basics on the menu were actually missing from the meals... Mushrooms on a pizza that stated mushrooms on the menu, Cheese within a sandwich that also stated cheese on the menu and a issue with another meal further down the table, unfortunately 1/4 Of food being returned isn’t exactly the service we were expecting from the venue and will reconsider returning in the future.



The customer service from a member of staff on the bar (short dark hair) and most of the staff was what we expected and were very happy, the lack of preparation on the basics on a menu and the incident regarding the staff about the starter was the biggest and most disappointing events last night.

Very disappointed firstly waited days for a reply for email for booking eventually rang up to be told its been the weekend we have been very busy u know we will go through are emails on Monday! Monday ,Tuesday Wednesday no reply to email still! Rang back up this time got manager booked a booth .On arrival went to bar was pointed to our booth next to the window ,Food was not good standard at all overcooked meatballs and fish ,found frozen chip in pasta ,we did complain and had completely drinks but the point is customer service needs attention and looks like the kitchen does too ! Hope this helps to improve your business!

It Was not busy? It still took 29 minutes for the only girl serving to even notice me at the bar , then she served the lady who had just come in. Went to the diamond next door don’t even think she noticed I left. Came back in half an hour as I was meeting someone ,kept on giving us the wrong drinks. Got freebies but pretty useless service

Beware of Food Poisoning!

I'm local and invited my Brother-in-Law to Ponteland for a few drinks on Sunday 18th February. What a mistake that turned out to be!! We both ended up in YOLO at around 6pm and decided to have a bite to eat....namely a chicken and steak sharing platter with flat bread and dips plus a pepperoni pizza.

We hadn't shared any other food or eaten anything else apart from this, yet coincidentally on the morning of Tuesday 20th February we were both struck down with severe diarrhoea, sickness, fever and crippling aches and pains - for 3 days!!

The sad part of this is that my wife and I had arranged childcare for a short break away but unfortunately we had to postpone our trip at extra expense.

Of course I felt horrifically guilty at causing my Bother-in-law such huge discomfort, but my feelings quickly turned to immense anger when my wife and I couldn't make our trip as planned �

You may ask if there's any good to come from this story?? Well, the answer is kinda yes and no.....

Yes, eventually we did manage to make our trip and we had a pretty good time despite a few lingering stomach pains! Yes, the pain from this bout of food poisoning (only the 2nd in my 40 year life) was far less severe than the 1st (Campylobacter), and yes life does go on and many worse things do happen at sea....

However, on the opposite side of the coin I now have to question myself over literally every single decision made when eating out, and being local it's gonna be really hard to avoid YOLO's for as long as we reside here. BUT, rest assured we WILL avoid YOLO and their offer of a £25 gift voucher is hugely rejected.

In summary my suggestion is if you do find yourself at YOLO then stick to the drink. Oh, and check the cleanliness of your glass :-)
