The Director of York Languages is Dr Debbie Elliott. Debbie is passionate about languages and is committed to delivering the highest level of service. With a BA and a PGCE in Modern Languages, a Master's Degree in Translation Studies and a PhD in Translation Quality Evaluation, she has been teaching languages since 1993 and translating for organisations around the world since 2006. As well as overseeing all teaching and translation work, Debbie delivers many of the language courses and translator training sessions. She also teaches on the MA programmes at Durham University and York St John University.
