Finish line !!!
Now in position for a nail biting finish for the 2019 EC Klondike GP
Today I am taking part in the #klondike road race. I am using the van and not the bike 🤣 We will be in the main caravan at the front of the race announcing the arrival of the riders #ecklondikegp #roadracing
It's time for a nice warm coffee and a slice of our fab whopper Ginger and carrot cake. #capitalofcake #capitalofcake2018winners #cakemakesyouridefaster
Everyone say cheese ! Never seen a device quite like this before for taking elevated photos but it seemed to work well. A Bluetooth connection meant the photographer could see what the shots were like on his phone down at eye level. #icanseethehubfromhere #photoshoot #camera
We have an Open Day on the 24th April 😊 get yourself along to demo Marin’s, Lapierre bikes, see the new season of Fox clothing and new range of Burgtec 👌🏼 #northyorkmoors #marinbikes #lapierre #foxuk #mountainbiking
Our free to join 2 hour mountain bike ride in the amazing North Yorkshire Moors. Riding on the open trails we have around us here at the Cycle Hub.
Two groups head out on either a fun or rough route - ‘Fun’ is the route to head out on to enjoy a ride taking in the less lung busting climbs and techie descents. As a rule coving around 7-10 miles and having plenty of regroups to let everyone get their breath. Brilliant for younger riders or those of you developing your skills o...n natural terrain and of course building the fitness up.
Choose the ‘Tough’ route if you are fit and like a challenge, usually covering 10-14 miles and using the more challenging climbs and technical descents this is the group for the seasoned rider who enjoys working for their tea. Less stopping and more sending is the way to think of this!
We set off at 6.30PM prompt and get back to the hub cafe around 8.30PM where our £5.00 rider’s rate Wednesday night special will be served, our cakes and drinks are also available.
Anyone is invited to come and ride with us. If you are under 18 however a parent or guardian will need to ride with you at all times.

Wow. Love this place. Phil and the rest of the staff were super helpful. The rooms are outstanding, very roomy, good showers and loads of charging sockets. Cafe and bike shop is top notch... the Pecan pie (as recommended by Phil) was so good, I had another pie for breakfast on Sunday. I’ve visited a few cycle hubs and this is one is in a amazing situation, away from any main roads. Will be back soon!
When I arrived the cafe was full with cyclists, dog walkers and people who had just called for lunch. I was welcomed by Sarah who explained the Danby Beacon route to me on the map and pointed out landmarks to look for. When I returned after being in torrential rain and wind it was a welcoming sight seeing the Hub. Phil had just put another log on the fire and I settled down with a coffee and a piece of cake in front of it. After getting the feeling back to my body I spoke to Neil who is the resident mechanic and talked about about bike's and other routes in the area. Phil also showed me the rooms which will be open for people to stay over night which were top rate.
The facilities were excellent as well as the hospitality, The Yorkshire Cycle Hub is a credit to you guys and I will certainly be returning.
What an amazing place with equally amazing hosts! Can’t recommend it enough. Thanks for accommodating dietary needs and helping with the lost mobile search! We will be back!
What a gem! Great facilities with stunning views. Highly recommended whether you're a cyclist or not
What a brilliant find situated in the heart of the North Yorkshire Moors. We together with our dog Ernest were made most welcome. What a stunning location with spectacular views which made our excellent cream tea even more enjoyable. Whether you are a keen cyclist, walker or just out enjoying the fantastic scenery you must call in and sample this gem for yourself. We will definitely be coming back to see you again.
We stopped off here this morning our first visit as it goes, what a gem of a location, great cafe with loads of space, good food and very freindly staff who smiled when we walked in all dripping wet, this place will be a regular cafe stop for us.
Spent the week here in the bunkhouse, which is the perfect base for cycling of all descriptions. Phil and Sarah could not have been more hospitable, with great ideas and advice for day rides, good recommendations for pubs and looking after us in every way possible. Fantastic breakfast and coffee each morning to making sure our bikes where fine and just going the extra mile to ensure we had a great week. Thank you so much guys, hope to see you again soon
My parents live across the road from Phil and Sarah and as much as we love Shreddies and Porridge at my parents house there’s nothing better than a tasty Great Fryup breakfast at The Yorkshire Cycle Hub from these guys and their amazing staff. For anyone that’s ever been on a bike in Yorkshire - get your bike out and cycle to the YCH, you’ll really enjoy the food when you’re there.
Just had a drive out to see what all the fuss was about. Great food ( bean burger and chips ) great coffee and the facilities looked top notch.
Will be coming back on a bike of some sort
Just come home from a two night stay at Yorkshire Cycle Hub and cannot fault it in any way. Everything was perfect! Super comfortable beds, amazing breakfasts & excellent facilities. Sarah & Philip could not have been more helpful and eager to please. Already booked for next year, if not sooner. Well done!
I've been meaning to get over for a visit for a while and today I had a road ride out with the boys to take a look and sample the delights and we were not disappointed. Lovely place, great views, very friendly and accommodated staff and the coffee\food is superb. Well impressed with the cakes :-)
Definitely worth a visit and will have to go back ASAP.
I think the Yorkshire cycle hub is amazing 😉 it is a bit hidden but great for kids to play games and sports and good facilities and great 👍🏻 food so just the best - Ollie Kettlewell, age 9.
Had the most amazing day up at the Hub yesterday... if you haven't been then the views alone are to die for. The food is gorgeous on and the staff are brilliant.
Great facilities, top notch cafe had coffee on first visit and full breakfast next morning and they were even able to accommodate my coeliac disease and do gluten free. My son did the two day coached mountain bike course, it was first class instruction . He learnt loads of skills not just mountain biking but outdoor self reliance knowledge.
Ps it can be difficult to find don’t rely on sat nav or allow extra time to enjoy the scenic lanes whilst your lost!
Great cakes and scones! Fabulous coffee, a nice roaring fire in cold weather and loads of outside seating for sunny weather!
Fantastic place... had the most wonderful weekend there ... staff were very helpful. Accomdation very clean and comfortable.. and a breakfast that’s sets you up for a day of cycling in the beautiful surrounding countryside... can’t wait to go back
Excellent service in the shop/cafe. Great food and lovely environment. Lots of walks nearby for the non bikers. And staff could not be more helpful in directions and route ideas for whatever your fancy. Well worth the trip out. And to say this place has only just set out, with heading there ideas and plans this place is only going to get better. Well done guys, keep up the good work.
Can’t praise this place enough, what a treat!
Location - fabulous, stunning views, handy for Rosedale, Whitby etc but also has some great routes right on the doorstep.
Accommodation - pristine rooms with ensuite, comfy beds (even the bunks!), thoughtful touches like over-bed charging facilities/lighting throughout.
Staff - Owners and cafe staff unbelievably friendly and welcoming, even jumped on their bikes and helped to comb the area when one of our party lost their mobile on a hillside!
Cafe - Now I like a good coffee shop, and this is best I’ve come across in a very long time. Beautiful home baked cakes (and whoppers too), great coffee and perfect full English breakfasts all round, despite all our kids asking for differing variations of the menu. Nothing was too much trouble.
Cost - Great value at £30pp per night, which included a massive (and lovely!) full English breakfast with a drink. Cafe prices in general really reasonable - lunch with coffee and cake certainly won’t break the bank and I’d expect to pay more for such a tasty feast.
Would I go back? I can’t wait!!!
Thank you Sarah and Phil x
Brought my Mom here for breakfast while visiting with friends in Danby. What a great place! Had an excellent meal and enjoyed talking with the owners. It may seem a bit out of the way to some but I highly recommend!
