Wonderful!! In a relatively small theatre so you feel close to the stage and show with real human heart and laughter. Far better that the much more barbie doll plasticky overhyped Wicked.

What an utter joy this musical was! After a rather funny first act, the second act in the show really ramped up the laughs with some truly laugh out loud jokes! Despite some mixed reviews when it first premiered on Broadway, this musicalised version is, for me, superior to Brook's previous show The Producers. A stellar cast with special mention to Diane Pilkington (Her act 2 tour de force 'Deep Love' is truly goosebump-inducing whilst still being utterly hilarious.) and Summer Strallen (Oh lord the high-kicks!). It is rather sad that this show won't last much longer in the West-End, but thank goodness we will get a Cast Recording and a National Tour - I for one will be traveling to see it on tour! BRAVO!

We went to Leicester Square to pick up some last minute tickets and came across this. I know the film but didn't know anything of the musical. So we took a punt and it was absolutely brilliant! Laughed so hard and enjoyed every second. Superb cast, superb show. Some of the music may not be that memorable, but who cares when you're having that much fun!

The first time I saw Young Frankenstein, I went in completely blind and had no idea what to expect. What I got was an amazing evening that had me crying with laughter. The cast are absolutely wonderful, the comedic timing is perfect, and the songs are so catchy that they get stuck in your head instantly. Plus, if you're lucky (yes, lucky! You heard right!) enough to get a stage or pyrotechnic malfunction, the resulting improv from the cast is incredible fun.

Last night was my second visit and I enjoyed it even more than the first! My advice to anyone looking to go who hasn't seen it before: go in blind and don't listen to anything beforehand as everything will be that much funnier the first time (though saying that, it was just as funny the second time)!

Thank you for putting on such a great show!

The expectation in the audience for certain moments (from the film) is tangible, and this show doesn’t disappoint! Faithfully translated from screen to stage - this is a fantastic production with some clever additions and adaptations to work on stage. Fans of the film will love this, people who’ve never seen it will howl with laughter too.... a must see!

User

Thank you Beth Cox for taking me to see this amazing and side splitting production - one of the funniest nights I’ve had and a great adaptation of this hilarious film - no wonder it’s being taken on tour throughout the UK and received such rave reviews - all the cast were fantastic and had the audience rolling in the aisles - so glad we got to see it!! Just brilliant

Saw the Wednesday 8th August Matinee, fantastic show, much enjoyed by myself and the family. The cast are amazing, Bethan Downing was an excellent stand in for Summer Strallen. A total hoot.

Saw it last Saturday night, I don't think I've ever laughed so much, it was hilarious! The cast were amazing, it was one of the funniest shows I've ever seen and I really really enjoyed it and would recommend it so much!

User

Please go- sadly the theatre was not full. It should be. Excellent matinee performance, the cast really do give it their all, with great staging, acting, singing and dancing. What's not to like?😉

My first ever trip to the theatre tonight was a funny, entertaining and memorable one. After watching the film numerous times down the years, went to see Young Frankenstein with my partner and laughed from start to finish even crying with laughter at one stage. The scenery, choreography and production was excellent and the cast acted and sang superbly throughout. Special mention must go to Lesley Joseph on her performance as Frau Blucher. Thank you all for putting on such a funny and entertaining show.

I and my friend went to Young Frankenstein "blind" and had an incredible time.

Rightly nominated for best new musical in the Oliviers. From the off this show truly has you enthralled and giggling like a school girl with performances that are also up for Olivier Awards.

The casting is simple with set used maximised to keep you engaged and songs not far from being crude this is something for an adult only. A great twist between Vaudeville, Slapstick and contemporary Innuendo. They have seemlessly linked great visual & written gags that keep you wondering what will be next.

Sad to see not many gave a well worthy standing ovation, "putting on the ritz and don't touch me" being highlights that have stuck.

Whatever you are thinking Young Frankenstein works on all levels and the comedy is endless, this really makes for a fun frolic filled night out at the theatre.

First act is BRILLIANT! Great tunes, all the leads are brilliant and the show really feels like it could be awesome...

Unfortunately, the safety curtain failed at intermission and our show was cut short! Still, going with 5 stars cos from what I saw, it’s still a smash! Hopefully we’ll sort out some replacement tickets and see act 2 soon

Brilliant show. Very funny. Catchy tunes & great cast. After seeing it for the first time, I got home from London at 1am and went straight on web to rebook (That's how good it is) Hadley Fraser fantastic. Seen him in many serious things, plays this funny role to perfection. Nice to see him smiling!!!

User

Best show I’ve EVER seen! I really mean that; I’m not just saying it to make a good review. The new Igor was brilliant, loved Lesley Joseph singing ‘He Vas My Boyfriend’. I just kept laughing out loud which is actually not like me as it usually takes a lot to make me laugh aloud! The innuendos were hysterical. We’re already talking about seeing it again (parents and our 14 and 19 years olds).

User

Been to see the show this evening laughed from start to finish. Absolutely loved it and would highly recommend seeing it.

User

Absolutely wonderful. An unexpected joy and a new favourite. Cast and crew are fantastic and obviously work incredibly hard to bring such a masterpiece to life. Now wondering how many times can I visit before the run ends in August!

User

Absolutely loved it! I laughed throughout and found it really entertaining, one of the best I’ve seen in a long time would happily watch again and again
