The staff are always very friendly and the food is always freshly cooked. None of the fish waiting in the warmer. I can't recommend the place highly enough and the price is extremely competitive.

Perfect fish and chips at lunch today. Fish was very white and not too greasy. Chips were good and the bread rolls fresh.

Poshest F&C restaurant I have seen, white table cloths and all. Frying area, restaurant and toilets were clean.

Plenty parking.

Just bought the worst fish and chips in the Wakefield area Yvonne's of Durkar The fish was so dry it was inedible chips no better just hope the birds have a good constitution as that's where they have ended up!.An entire waste of money and time as I am now preparing our lunch.Will definitely not be returning!!!üò£

Great fish & chip shop with cafe attached and great prices .

We always find it difficult to drive past at the end of the day .

And always offers on 2 cups of tea 2 x fish and chips plus 2 tea cakes mush peas and curry sauce for around a tenner what’s not to like

Found this place in passing this evening being unfamiliar with the area. It had been a long and difficult day and we were tired, with quite a distance still to drive. We received such a friendly chatty welcome, great food and exemplary service in their restaurant area, all for a very reasonable price indeed, that it completely made up for all the day's shortcomings and we left not only replete, but far more happy and relaxed than when we went in. Thank you very much, it speaks volumes. People, you must go there.

After winning the prize on Facebook we went to Yvonne's. We were greeted by lovely, friendly staff who served our meals in the newly refurbished restaurant . The fish & Chips were gorgeous. The fish was lovely and crispy and the chips perfect. What more could we ask for. Well recommended, you must try it. Well worth 5 ÔøΩ. Thanks Yvonne's fisheries, we'll call in again. X

Absolutely gorgeous fish and chips, immaculately clean and the restaurant is so welcoming and friendly. The staff are all lovely and nothing is too much trouble. Fish is beautiful, really white and lovely high quality. This is by far the best place to go for fish and chips. We travel regularly from Huddersfield and have recommended Yvonne’s to everyone we know!

Love this fish and chip shop lovely fish and chips. Once got some chips that were over cooked but mentioned it to them the next time I went in they were beautiful if you don't mention your concerns how do you expect them to fix the problem if you don't tell them.

Came here today for some food for 3 people.



I arrived shortly have 2 other customers who ordered fish as they got to the till and saw both customers get a fresh cooked fish made and served to them for them to then eat inside the resteraunt area.



I ordered a fish the same as the 2 customers in front but to take away and was given a fish that was left on the heater shelf from before I came in and what was left their during the 2 customers in front of me getting fresh cooked fish...



When arriving back at the house the person who asked for fish complained that it was rubbery and cold which was due to it being left in the heater too long...



Also had hard rubbery pieces inside the fish that was not edible.



Chips was more than overcooked and then bad been left to warm resulting in a soggy texture and cold chips....



The only reason my food was hot was the curry sauce I poured on top which was actually very nice flavour... hence the 2 star instead of 1 star.



Sausage was over fried and resulted in an extremely hard skin.



So overall all 3 people did not enjoy their meal at all...



The quality certainly matches the low prices...



Will not be returning any time soon.

One of the most unfriendly places you could choose to eat. They sell great kids boxes but they don't seem to like children at all! They definitely think kids should be seen and not heard. If the lady working there does hear them she will be very angry!! Think her dream job was a librarian. Anyhow average quality food with terrible service. Walked out before I had really eaten much and certainly will never go back!!
