Hey everyone we want to introduce you to one of our new staff here on base!!
“Hi I’m Tammy and I’m 20 years old I no longer can call myself a teenager so have to face life like an adult...like being back at the lodge after doing an amazing DTS... I’m a family girl so this is a massive step but im enjoying the community here... I feel so at home and I’m enjoying all that I’m learning! I’m still a child at heart I enjoy glitter, bubbles, jokes and Fridays are my favourite and not because it’s one sleep till the weekend!”

It's the last Community Worship Night of the term and soon we will break for the summer. Come out this Monday, June 10th at 7:30pm and spend time worshiping the Lord with us. If you're close by and are able to come, we would love to see you here!

”Honestly, when I arrived here at the Kings Lodge to do my DTS, my faith was not really existant. I didn´t know who God was, who I was, and I just didn´t know what I was believing in. Yes, I´ve called myself a Christian for all my life and I attended sunday church, helped out in church and had good relationship with people around me. I would say, I was a good person and had tried to figure out life with God. Looking back I can say: it hadn´t worked out. I had no foundation in... who I was or leave alone in who God was. During DTS, God met me in so many ways and opened my eyes to who He is, but also to who I am in Him. He showed me, how much He really cares for me, and all my head-knowledge finally travelled 7 inches deeper into my heart. I can say, for the first time in my life, that I have a two way relationship with God and I never want to lose that again. Hearing God and having Him speak into my life is amazing. In the past I would be so scared of life, but now I think it´s a great adventure to experience it with God, as the loving father and perfect guide. I always thought, obeying God is the worst that could happen to me, but now I realized, it´s the best thing for me, because God IS for me! I´m still not finished, God created us to have a life-long-learning-journey, but I now know the best teacher and I can´t wait to face new challenges. I´m learning to focos on God everyday, and in focusing on Him, I learned how to lose myself, and in this losing process, I win Him, myself and sooo much more back.
