Went to Mousehold last night,there was 14 of us so you do worry that something might not be right,but service was great & all the food was really good,especially my fajitas,hadn’t been for a while but won’t leave it too long before we go again.Thank you 👍👍

Thursday evening we turned up to a very busy Zak's (mousehold) the staff accommodated us very nicely and we received drinks quickly, all of our food was superb and we were filled to satisfaction; excellent service all round and I would recommend booking no matter what day it is.

My family and I had lunch at Poringland Zaks today and enjoyed a lovely meal. Neil and Katy were very friendly and helpful. My husband has a food allergy and Neil was very helpful in discussing what he would be able to eat and was very accomodating. Great staff, great food. Thanks Zaks!

Me and my partner have just visited Poringland. Excellent service, we arrived at 7.20 and our food was with us by 7.39 (I thought it was quick, but that is fantastic service). My only upset was I couldn't find out how many points I had on my Love Club card (you should have an app) � Kelsey was lovely bless her and soon told me. I love Zaks � thank you once again for outstanding service and food �

I came here for my son's birthday. The staff were lovely. They gave him a free ice-cream!! The food was lovely and the service was very quick. We have now decided to use this as our regular place to eat out.

Booked for a 17.30 sitting, nice greeting and taken to our seats. Service was excellent, food was lovely and there was plenty of it and the music is as great. Really enjoyed our evening and will be going back very soon 👍

Why bother with national chain burger houses if we have the best?

As a pesctarian in a family of meat eaters, I was a little apprehensive about our visit to your Mousehold Diner yesterday evening, not sure on what would be available to eat and not really looking forward to another vege burger. I decided to try the grilled salmon in a lime and tequila glaze and was really impressed. Not only was the food delicious but our waiter Ryan couldn't have been more helpful. I know both my adult son and husband were equally as happy with our meal and service and we look forward to our next visit.

Lovely hamsteak Burger but could have been as hot as the mushrooms. Lovely staff Thomas and Jess, they could have had more help as the higher level was full with large parties, well done guysguys. I would go again, good value and tasty

Service was great, really nice girls. Unfortunately the food was sub-par tonight � i'm trying to put it down as a one time thing as whenever i've been before it was good but tonight was just a waste �

Seated upstairs in a nice spot but unfortunately the red bulb done both me & husbands eyes in & found it harder to read the menu. Normally love going to Zaks at mousehold but Sunday evening was a first let down we had.

Went for a takeaway last Monday after seeing post on here ,only to be told I'd have a 30 min wait for food ! dining in would be quicker ,so I leave Mousehold and go to Waterside branch ,upon getting there was told what I wanted wasn't on takeaway menu , it transpired that the restaurant has a basic menu for takeaway as opposed to Zaks website giving you full choice menu for takeaway ,would like to add the staff at Waterside were brill and got me what I wanted and quick to ,but the whole experience is not takeaway as we know it

Very disappointing visit today. We had to seat ourselves, and get our own menus and an extra chair for the table we were sent to. It was then 20 minutes before our drinks orders were taken. Food arrived fairly quickly and was lovely, your only saving grace today! Then after finishing our first course we waited another half an hour before taking up our own dirty dishes and asking for the bill! Two unhappy kids with no dessert as it had taken so long we had to get them home to bed. Almost two hours for one course of food is really not acceptable. I appreciate you can be busy at times but we were obviously forgotten about because by the time we left the restaurant was almost empty and we were still not being served. Not sure we will be returning.

Just got back from Poringland zaks, very disappointed, was asked if required sauces and asked for bbq only to be told it was £1, unbelievable!. We had Pepsi for drinks which was extremely watery and was not drunk. Won't be going back and will stick with Fatsos in the future.

such a downturn in quality..think 10 years ago and there was the relish trivet on the table...now just a plastic tomato ala greasy spoon....Salad now is so basic with no chefing skills..why no spring onion or beetroot or something...not just cold pasta with a spoon of tomato slop splodged on top....since 1976?...yes when it was really lovely burgers in foil .....progress?....hardly.

go back to providing quality food and you will have a full restaurant again....its not all about profit

So so bad! Went last year with my friend and thought it was terrible, and went back on Wednesday to the Zak's in mousehold with a group for a birthday. I have never been more disgusted by food in my life. We had nachos and they were the most repulsive things I have ever eaten. Cheap horrible nachos, swimming in horrible plastic cheese sauce, and the plate consisted mostly of shredded lettuce?! It was DISGUSTING. Also there was barely any salsa, literally a spot where it looked like some had been! Mains arrived and they were just as awful as the starters, everyone's burgers were over cooked and dry, my friend sent hers back and couldn't stomach anything else, 3 people around me felt off towards the end of the meal. It was vile! The only thing that slightly saved it from being the worst experience of my life was the super friendly and helpful staff. Soooooooo disappointed, will never go back!

Sat down at 6.20 and waited until 6.35 for someone to ask us what drinks we wanted ....

Ordered food altogether at 6.35 when we ordered drinks and then at 6.55 PM the waiter came out to say we could not have sweet potatoes fries as you had ran out 20 minutes after we ordered absolutely annoyed having travelled 25 mins to come to Zak’s which do serve my favourite food and the best sweet potatoes fries...

Food came out with no mushrooms with steak when it normally does but correct me if I am wrong ?

I asked for bacon in my burger which did not come in it a simple task as it only involves putting 2/3 pieces of bacon in the bun???



The bun was really really dry I don’t know if it was because it was a few days after Christmas but it was almost like it was sitting out all day ??



This might sound a bit of a petty rant but simple things and staff should really appreciate customers custom as 2/3 look like they did not want to be on the shop floor.



The manager did take off one of the meals but I feel that this did not justify the experience .
