Zinda was created as a disruptor / challenger brand in the chilled food-to-go category (wraps).

With the intent of creating a product that would be a game-changer within the category, Zinda innovated ground up, starting with the base – thus meeting an unfulfilled need for a carrier that was healthier and delivered a better mouth-feel and eating experience. The result - our leaner, tastier and lighter Air Wrap!

The uniqueness of this handcrafted flatbread, described by the BSA as a “game changer” and “good alternative to the tortilla” delivers effectively on two fronts;

1) Health - Low Sat Fats, Low salt, no additives, no lard, no trans fatty acids, hydrogenated oils, palm oil or shortening agents.

2) Superior Eating experience- It holds fillings very well, does not get soggy, doughy or stodgy and remains soft and pliable, letting the filling shine through.

Zinda was created by Anishya Kumar, a former Senior Consultant with Deloitte and a passionate foodie at heart. Zinda is supported by a fantastic team of leading experts in their respective fields of marketing, branding, commercial development, supply chain & manufacturing, finance & last but not least its very own Michelin chef for new product development & innovation!

The key driver of Zinda's innovative approach is the award winning (New Sandwich Product Award - Ingredient Category, Sammies 2017) Airwrap developed and trademarked by Anishya. Having won the Sammies, in a fiercely contested category dominated by the big names in the game, the products were judged on the basis of technical credibility (evidence lab based) and commercial viability.

The AirWrap base is the real point of difference as it is a “light as air” handcrafted flatbread that is soft, light in texture, and almost paper thin. It has 50% less saturated fats compared to standard tortilla and no palm oil, lard, or hydrogenated oils. And to keep the medical fraternity happy, the salt, as compared to other carriers, is amazingly low!

Using the Airwrap base, our fillings share equal attention in the spotlight with fresh, innovative, globally inspired recipes created by our award winning Michelin star chef. They are artisan in appearance and versatile as ready-to-eat food to go or as a hot eating product - panini, grill or microwave.
