We called after a girls day shopping. Mum and two daughters a bottle of pink Fizz and fabulous food. The young girl that took our order was very helpful with choosing what we wanted as we had never been before. We will definitely be back. 🍾🥂

Our first visit last night and we will definitely be back. Lovely food, friendly helpful staff. Nice atmosphere. My only complaint was the volume at which the trout sitting behind me had to speak but that’s not the restaurants fault. First class. Thank you very much.

I love this place , cleaned and warm . The food was amazing , I enjoyed the spiedini pescatore and antipasto was good as well I recommend

Had a lovely meal for Mother’s Day, served by Emily who was absolutely lovely. Just the right amount of attentiveness and all our food arrived at the same time. Plus fab vegan options!

User

Lovely food, and good service, even when they sang Happy Birthday to my daughterďż˝

I did enjoy my chilli skinny king Prawn Pizza, but to be honest small Size and very expensive £11.45, The starter calamari to share £11.65 so small I didn't want to share it with husband Barry

Hats off to our great waitress. We asked for a couple of beers to drink while we chose what to eat. They arrived promptly, she came back to take our order. Small thing but our. Recent experience of a wide range of restaurants, you order an aperitif and it invariably arrives with or after the starter. We rarely bother with cocktails or a g&t for this reason. Our food was hot and served with a smile. My mushroom on toast starter was some what lacking in the mushroom, 2 pieces of hard bread spread with a floury tasting paste which contained a few small pieces of mushroom and some melted cheese. The wild boar meatball dish was better and my sister said her arancini followed by lasagna was good. The wine we ordered was decent and a fair price. All told not a bad meal for the price, the place was busy and everything arrived at decent interval, neither rushed nor too delayed.

User

Found it a bit dark inside, but other than that it was very good. Delighted to see more vegan options 👍😊

User

Food was really good but the place was noisy. We did get used to it quickly though & had a great time

Zizzis is one of my go to restaurants because the food is always good and there is a massive choice for vegans but this experience wasn’t the best!

We booked a table but stood waiting to be shown to our table for 10 minutes. Finally the manager came over and ask what he could do for us quite rudely then showed us to our table. He didn’t apologise but explained they didn’t expect it to be busy due to bonfire night so there would be a delay.

It wasn’t particularly busy at all and most of the staff weren’t doing a lot.

Once we finally got to order our food came very quickly and it was really nice!

User

Food was pretty tasty but the service was so slow. Took an hour and a half for the main course to arrive. I had to pay the bill and leave before desert arrived as I'd only allowed 2 hours for dinner before the movie started I was going to see.

User

Well, where to start. Called on Saturday to book a table but told they weren’t taking bookings but to drop by for a table. Fair enough. Fast forward a few hours later, and after taking in Winter Wonderland we went to try our luck only to be told they were fully booked, but there appeared to be tables to spare. I complained to someone who I presumed to be the manager whose response was ‘well I didn’t take your call’. Not an apology, nothing. I was quite amazed by his behaviour which at best was arrogant and at worst inept.

User

The waitress who took our order was great, friendly and very helpful, the guy who served us our main course was awful, just about threw it at us and couldn't get away fast enough.

The starter was lovely but the risotto we had for the main course was the worst ever, even had puddles of water forming on top of it and tasted so bland. We suspected it had been rushed through as several orders seemed to be going wrong.

Wouldn't bother eating at Zizzi, Nottingham again but Zizzi in Derby has always been great food, just down to the chefs I guess 🙁

User

The waitress was really nice and helpful. The food wasn’t great at all.

I ordered a pasta brisket and venison and it tasted old and like it was from a tin.it had a very small amount of meat also, Really really poor. I’ve been to Zizzis a few times and this was by far the worst. My wife had chicken wrapped in bacon and it was warm at best when it arrived and abit dry. Also it was freezing inside the restaurant! I’ve had a few good meals there but not this time. Il think twice about going back now. Poor

User

The food had too much melted butter it was swimming in it so when the waitress brought it to the table it all moved to the end of the plate .The hrb potatoes were inedible in a container with a hug blob of herbs on top not sprinkled .

User

I had chicken for main...it was swimming in so much oil on the plate that I didn’t enjoy it at all! The lemon and raspberry cheesecake was also very hard to eat as it was dry and over baked. I’ve never had dry cheesecake before!

After previously going for a meal which they served wrong, noticing a layer of dust behind my husband on a shelf and waiting an age for a meal. I emailed management saying they needed to up their game. Got no response.

Went for another meal, granted, courtesy of Tesco Clubcard Boost, to find an equally shocking service. Luke warm herby potatoes. When a server asked how things were i mentioned they were cold. She apologielsed profusely and ordered a fresh batch. These eventually arrived nicely hot but with no herbs. Surely it shouldnt be that difficult. Someone offered to change them again, to which i pointed our meal was almost done. I requested complimentary desserts. They said they would only offer ONE - despite our meal being ruined. Substandard and inexcusable. Do yourself a favour and go to another restaurant. Its not like Nottingham doesnt boast hundreds of other restaurants.

Such a shame I was enjoying my meal Pollo Prosciutto. Shame the chicken wasn’t cooked in the middle. Was told it was the ham colouring it. No it wasn’t as that was on the underside yet the chicken wasn’t cooked through near the top. They kindly re did me another which didn’t have any raw meat in the middle but still wasn’t cooked as the texture was awful and I had to spit it out.

Response from manager was that “it is cooked to a specification” well my thoughts to you are... heaven forbid should your ‘chefs’ use their skills / common sense to cook it slightly longer so it is safe to eat!

Come on guys it’s chicken not steak. I don’t need to ask for it to be well done. I’d just like it to be done.

Fingers crossed I don’t get sick from the bit I ate.
