Just got back from a lovely evening the service was exceptional. We had a lovely young lady called Graze, who was tremendously helpful (as well as being very happy and friendly). It was my first meal out since my son was diagnosed with cow's milk allergy. As I'm feeding him I was dubious about what to eat. She provided me with the allergy menu, (which is brilliant) but then went above and beyond that. She gave me recommendations for places to get allergy friendly foods (to buy, as I'm still learning all of this), went and checked if the chocolate torte just had soya lecithin (which I could have), but not straight soya. Her service was impeccable. She is an asset to your restaurant and thanks to this we will be returning (as a family and couple) as well as reccommeding the restaurant to others. Thank you Graze for brilliant service, on a wonderful much needed needed night out (for hubby's bday), from two very tired parents xx

I can't put into words how happy I am with the service provided and the quality of the food and beverage which have graced my tastebuds. Well, to start...the brushetta, wowzers! Sublime creation out of beautifully presented ingredients, which was, as expected, fantastic! After the starter was quickly demolished by myself, the used crockery was cleared away quicker than a broken down vehicle on the autobahn! From my seat I caught a glimpse of a huge calzone which came out the kitchen which was gracing the servers hand like an extremely tame cat. Could it be?? Yes it was! Straight out of said kitchen came my second course! Such a masterpiece, the calzone must have been crafted by the hands of God himself! And for the final chapter at my Zizzis encouter..the chocolate, praline & sea salt torte. Served on a piece of expertly felled tree came the exquisite dessert, which was out of this world! Overall I wish I had the minerals to stand on the table and clap when service was finished as from sitting down at 8:20pm, after 3 courses down it was only 9:30pm! Absolute credit to the food industry! Well played Zizzi's, well played!!! 10/10.

Had such a fantastic time this evening. We are newly vegan and with a vegan menu, friendly knowledgeable staff and yummy food, zizzi's is now our favourite place to eat out

Had a great evening. The food was fantastic and the staff were extremely polite and attentive. We were a large party off 22 , all the food came out together so no waiting about . We pre ordered before we arrived, however it wasn't rushed . A great atmosphere for our sons 21st celebrations with family members. Thank you

Fabulous mothers day treat. Food was excellent. Great thing is I could carry on enjoying the food all evening as I took a take away pudding home with me as I was still full whilst at restaurant.

User

Excellent services, friendly staff, portions of food spot on and above all food was perfection .

Been today for the first time as a party of 11, we found the staff was so friendly and very attentive, nothing was too much trouble, the 3 courses we had was fantastic, great quality food and very generous with portion size, I love the fact you can watch them in the kitchen cooking and preparing your food from the sinks in the toilets!

Keep up the great work xx

Lovely staff, especially Molly who served us. Only down side was it was very cold inside the restaurant. Other than that, lovely meal and service.

User

It was my first time there and it was a really nice place and the food and drink was great certainly be visiting again thank you for a great night

Food and wine was lovely, but a bit pricey and that was with a free dessert ... their new raspberry tiramisu - delicious. £7 for a small glass of Sauvignon, very nice but steep by an standards. Staff were friendly and welcoming, I found restaurant cold. Would. Go back ... yes !

User

Five out of five for food and service but please refurb the men’s toilets!!! Bold lane car park toilets smell better, the smell of p##s takes your breath away and after having a great meal you go for a toilet break and as soon as you open the door it hits you. Please do something about it 👍

Booked in with a large group for 6.30pm. Didn't get mains till 8.30ish. Staff were very pleasant and obliging but the wait for food was far too long. Having pre booked the table more kitchen staff would have been advisable. My main wasn't the best.. over cooked chicken...

Thought it was over priced.

Nice place but won't be going back.

We visited last night for a Xmas meal for 12 people. Whilst the food was tasty the whole experience was very disappointing.

The service was a shambles, we were served by 2-3 people during the evening which I think can create some confusion and issues. Rather than coming over to our side of the table to take our order the waitress stood in the same place on the other side and we had to shout across the table in a busy restaurant. It took 1.5 hours for our mains to be served after initially ordering. One of the dishes was missed off the order completely. There was a 15-20 minute gap between the first dish and last dish being served. There were clearly ingredients missing from the Chianti lamb main, and rather than explaining this to set our expectations, we had to ask why the dish didn't look like the picture and were told they had run out of cranberries and other ingredients. 3 of our friends ordered the same starter and despite sitting at opposite ends of the table they were initially expected to share from the same platter. The waitresses did not once ask if we enjoyed our meals, didn't replace all the cutlery after the starters and stopped asking us if we wanted more drinks after the mains. My wife was told her dessert was unavailable despite ordering it 2 hours earlier when ordering the 3 course set menu and her main dish was served luke warm. The plates were cold!!!!! The waitress did not acknowledge the delays or apologise until we challenged her.

We complained to the assistant manager and he refunded some of the dishes and gave us a free bottle of wine. Guess that makes everything ok then(?). What makes it even more of a joke is that it wasn't even that busy there were plenty of empty tables.

Another reason I did not personally enjoy our visit was it was just so loud in there, i think it must be the decor with the tiled floors. Just like Prezzo derby that's just as bad - poor service and too loud.

Will not be visiting again or recommending. Must try a lot harder.

Sorry to have to do thud, but tonight's meal was bland and undercooked, the giant gnocchi were sent back once and even the 2nd batch was the same, to be fair they didn't charge, but we didn't go out to be disappointed.

I had venison ragu, well cooked, but lacking any sort of zing.

Bruschetta was essentially baguette with cold halved tomatoes on top.

Overall, not the meal we'd hoped for .

I have change my opinion about this place a lot. Last year my friend was sick after eating there . I decided to give it a second chance yesterday. And my opinion has changed even for worse. 3 tables full in the whole restaurant and the service was very slow. The waitress ignored us when we wanted to pay about three times . What is more , I ordered lasagna and it was the worst lasagna I have ever eaten ... my friend’s pasta looked nice but she didn’t finish it and not because she was not hungry . Thank goodness for the wine.

Disappointed -got turned away at the door as we didn't have a booked table (although plenty empty tables, 8pm thurs eve ) as they were - " too short staffed" wont be hurrying back.

Went for a Christmas get together and it was terrible!! From the moment we sat down to the moment we left everything was shocking! Food quality was terrible, service was abysmal and the waitress we had was rude and stank of cigarettes every time she leaned over us. Food took ages, turned up cold, we were never offered any more drinks or asked how the food was. After ordering from the set menu I was told an hour and a half later that they didn't have the dessert I ordered. They didn't have everything for the lamb main and when we queried this we were just told they'd run out... surely customers should be told that when they order! We watched the staff chatting at the till whilst we were waiting for service, my husband and a friend had to resort to taking cutlery from the table next to us because the waitress couldn't be bothered to reset the table between starters and mains. When we complained the waitress was rude and bolshy, and said it was our fault for not pre ordering! The table was booked in October and confirmed twice but we were never asked to pre order or we would have. Would not recommend this restaurant to anyone, awful quality food and service was even worse.

User

Was so disappointed today. We went for lunch and were the only 2 people in the restaurant from 1.15 to 3.00. We soon found out why... We ordered pasta in a tomato sauce - the pasta was almost cold and the sauce was like water, We returned it and had another which was slightly better, side salad looked had very sad, lettuce which I would have thrown away at home. We gave this back to them. The pudding was nice - ice cream, but this had a piece of plastic in it. The waitress was lovely - we felt quite sorry for her. Not even a cup of coffee offered as compensation. Such a shame used to love this place.

Time seated 7.45pm;

So it started with poor customer service from the waitress informing me I was not entitled to my o2 priority Voucher of 2 glasses of prosecco and olives, the waitress continued to argue and was rude and abrupt with me so I asked for the manager. The manager agreed and said we could have the voucher and I got a poor attempt of an apology from the waitress I asked for, however we was only given 1 glass of prosecco with the olives! I was not amused by this, but the manager did redeem himself and come across with two bottles of prosecco. This looked better for zizzi's.

Orders were taken and everybody started to have a good time then unfortunately zizzi' let themselves down again, it was around 9.15pm when we finally got our staters!

The food was ok but it did not live up to the description or was worth the price we paid for it. There are much better competitors out there with better service, food and price.

After all this our bill was incorrect by overcharging us for drinks! And adding a service charge!

All I can say is that neither one of us will be recommending Zizzi's or be going back.
