Hectors Fish And Chips

Hectors was the first place we visited in Jersey following recommendations for great fish and chips. We weren't disappointed. The welcome was warm, the banter was entertaining and the food was beautifully crisp. Only let down by the torrential downpour that hit us when we left the shop, but I don't suppose Hector can do much about that.

Was recommended to us,and we'll recommend it to you. Food absolutely fantastic, the owner and staff are really welcoming, and friendly, a great experience.

Lovely traditional cod & chips at a reasonable price! Nice big piece of fish, just as it should be. Homemade chips, crisp on the outside, wonderfully soft on the inside. Shops like these are hard to come by these days. Highly recommended !

Had fish platter. Cod and Haddock fantastic. Meal was let down by frozen scampi and filo prawns. Expected all the fish to be fresh. I'd still recommend it but stick with the cod or haddock. Otherwise service was excellent, quick and friendly. Reasonable prices except for the platter.

I visited Jersey only very briefly and fell upon Hectors Fish and Chips! Absolutely delicious. The staff were really friendly and cheerful, and the tables are nicely set out so that you've each got your own private spot. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in Jersey!

A little expensive for a fish and chip shop/restaurant. Service pretty good and at a reasonable price. Good for families and worth visiting

Unpretentious place with fantastic fish and chips (generous portions, crisp coating on the fish, nice thick chips) and even better staff - friendly but not intrusive, joking equally with us (tourists) and the locals at the table next to us. Much less expensive/tourist-y than the places on the wharf.

Come every time we visit jersey .never a bad meal .

First few times I visited I had a good experience, however last time when I was over I thought the sausage I got looked a bit weird but I ate it anyway (thinking it was just the light in the place). Sadly that was a mistake, as I got a very bad case of food poisoning for the next day and I was flying home too. Not a pleasant experience.
