Åkesson'S Description

ÅKESSON'S is a small and exclusive Planter's Line of Chocolate & Fine Exotic Foods.

We have our own Estates in Madagascar and in Brazil. There, we grow and collect cocoa and coffee, peppercorns and salts, nuts and spices. Additionally we also produce essential oils of ylang ylang, black pepper, combava and vetiver.

For more than 15 years our plantations supply all over Europe, America and Japan most of the top end chocolate makers and chefs with our much appreciated products.

Working closely with these passionate chocolatiers, ÅKESSON wanted to give his own interpretation of chocolate and as a planter wanted to bring out the true taste of cocoa behind chocolate.

The same way, supplying chefs with the best peppercorns, ÅKESSON realized that although everybody uses peppercorns, quality is rare and there is a need to bring a new awareness about this essential ingredient and the different varieties available.

So in 2009, ÅKESSON launched his own brand, offering first a chocolate line and then a pepper & salt line. ÅKESSON'S Fine Chocolate & Exotic Foods are now available in the best Fine Food Stores across 20 countries.

Akesson's chocolate was awarded 7 times this year at the International Chocolate Awards for European plain bars... 3 gold and 4 silver. A special mention for our 43% white Chocolate bar that was awarded gold in 3 different categories! Once again, thanks a lot to all our collaborators!
