Shorinji Kempo is a martial art which can be enjoyed by people of any age, sex or size. Techniques exploit the use of balance and pressure points, meaning raw strength is not required to perform any of the techniques. A great weekend of training in Karlstad with excellent instruction from Kawashima Sensei and Mukaida Sensei. Great to see and train with lots of friends from across Europe. Many thanks to Anders Sensei and all the Swedish kenshi for a very well run event. Here's to the European Taikai in Stockholm in July 2019!

Great session tonight. Many thanks to everyone who made the journey. Huge congratulations to Jenni Lipscombe who received her Shodan certificate this evening.
This Thursday we will run a full free introductory Shorinji Kempo class for children at the North Acton Pavilion W3 0AD. The session is open to children from 6 years to 15 years old and any parents who would like to take part too. Following this week's introduction we will continue with normal classes for children every Thursday from 17:30 to 18:30 during term time.
As part of the North Acton Pavilion open day we will be running a free taster session for adults and children. This will encompass some basic punching, kicking, blocks and also releases and throws if time allows. Wear some loose fitting clothing and come along!
