Sgt Adefuye (221) LCpl Brown and 2Lt Hepworth (217) were involved in representing the Royal Engineers Reserve football team at the Army Reserve Football Championships at PWG Barracks, Grantham. Losing a very tight final 1-0 to the Infantry.
Next up is the AR Challenge Cup starting next week for all Reserve units including 101 EOD&S who are playing the London Regiment.
Any Sappers interested interested in developing football in their units should contact their Football Officer or Army FA.

A lovely evening with three special people, Dan, Kellie and JJ. We had the final piece in the jigsaw tonight with a cheque presentation to the Clark family. We as a squadron are very proud of what we do each year in memory of Spr Will Blanchard, so it was a huge honour to hand over £5683. All to help JJ in some small way, we hope we can make a difference to his sensory room. I’d just like to thank all involved all who donated, truly humbling.

A truly cracking day at the Royal Chelsea Hospital, invited by Maj Frankie Howell to do a presentation to the Chelsea pensioners. Very honoured to be there a great crowd, great banter, finishing with lunch in the great hall. We where presented with a wonderful presentation piece which we never expected. A huge thanks to the team that made it happen, and to Maj Howell for hosting us so well.

An amazing Open day and Blanchard challenge yesterday for 221 Fd Sqn (EOD&S). To many people to thank, but a truly great team effort by one and all involved.
We raised just over £1800 yesterday with the Just Giving site we are now just over £4400. A truly humbling day all round, seeing JJ’s family, Kellie and Dan and Grandparents Margret and Billie, along with the widow of Spr Will Blanchard, Sue Blanchard. The weather was on our side also. In the hall we had classes of Boogie Bounce, Yoga, Insanity, Self Defence, Boxercise, so something for any keep fitter.
The Blanchard challenge always pulls the Squadron together every year and rightly so in memory of one of our fallen. We are looking forward to next years challenge already of climbing Everest on 5 climbing walls in 24hrs, bring it on.

What a truly fantastic day, we where honoured to be invited to Founders Day at the Royal Chelsea Hospital. Three centuries ago King Charles II implemented his idea for the foundation of a home for his old soldiers. It’s architect being Sir Christoper Wren, the hospital was finally completed in 1692.
For me today to meet up with so many friends that I had not seen for 20yrs or more and catch up as if it was only yesterday. That is the magic of being a soldier you have friends ...for life.
To watch the Chelsea Pensioners on parade was so humbling. Men and Women so proud standing shoulder to shoulder, truly the greatest generation of our time.
The reviewing officer was His Royal Highness The Duke of Sussex KCVO, who gave an outstanding speech. I’d like to thank Maj Frankie Howell and his wife Linda for their hospitality and warm welcome. Truly a day I will remember.

SQMS Rob Usher has been supporting the Not Forgotten Association for some years now and is always asking for volunteers to take along with him.
The Not Forgotten Association was formed in 1919 by a Martha Cunningham after helping wounded troops from WW1. The NFA has continued to support all three services. They organise lots of varied events and many of them. The SQMS has been supporting them over the last 5 years at the Summer garden parties in Buckingham Palace. He has also... helped out at Christmas parties at St James Palace. The SQ will always try to drum up support from the troops who attend in service dress to help out, always a very rewarding experience. The volunteers help out in anyway they can from just listening, helping our heroes up stairs or just to sit and stand. Always a very humbling experience, topped off with being able to mix with a few celebrities, but none larger than our heroes from all three services.
Huge well done to SQMS Usher and the volunteers from 221 Fd Sqn (EOD&S).
