1St Sherborne Scout Group

1st Sherborne (St Aldhelm's) Scout Group runs four well established sections providing exciting and varied programmes for ages 6 to 18 years old.

1st Sherborne (St Aldhelm's) Scout Group has been running pre 1964 at various sites within the bounds of Sherborne town, Finally settling at the site on Blackberry Lane. The existing hut burnt down in 1998 and a new brick building was built on the same site and opened in 2002.

Our current membership lies around 50 boys and girls split between the three sections of Beavers, Cubs and Scouts. We do have Explorers that help out with the Scouts Troop, however they are officially part of the District.

We have in the past had two Cub packs, however due to the lack of leaders to ratio of Cubs we now only currently run Mowgli Pack on a Tuesday night.

We offer the hall outside of Scouting activities for private hire either adhoc (Birthday parties, etc. ) or on a permanent basis (Club meetings, keep-fit, etc. ).

We also have our own Coconut Shy which is available for hire for Village fetes, etc.
