On Sunday 27th January 2019 CWO Wilshaw competed as part of the Kent Wing Cross Country Team. As you can see CWO Wilshaw did really well with the Senior Girls coming Second over all. CWO Wilshaw will now represent London and South East Region at RAF Cranwell in March!

Congratulations to Cdt Francis-Smith and Cpl Sievewright who are January’s Cadet and NCO of the Month! Well done to you both!

This evening the Squadron collected a Cheque from Dover Lions Club for £154.40. In December the cadets collected money with the Lions Club on their annual Santa’s float around Dover. It rained heavily and the evening is cut short so this amount is even more special! Thank you to the Lions Club.
This money will go directly back to the cadets for their training.

Congratulations to Cpl Megan Cloke who was awarded her Yellow Lanyard for completing her Cadet Method of Instruction training.

Last night the Squadron held the Annual Presentation Evening to celebrate what was a fantastic 2018. The cadets were very smart and did a fantastic job representing themselves, their families and the Squadron. 2019 is set to be an incredible year. There is still time to be part of it. If you are in Year 8 and under 18 and want to join please get in contact. If you are aged over that there is the option of Civilian Committee or Staff. We are just a short message away!

This evening the Squadron Padre enrolled another cadet in to the Squadron. Our numbers are growing and growing but there is still room if you wish to join.
If you are in Year 8 at school and wish to join, pop along on a Tuesday or Thursday night and we will show you around!
Also, if you wish to join our Civilian Committee (aged 18 or over) get in contact!

We are looking for volunteers to join our Squadron Civilian Committee!
The Civilian Committee are vital in the continued success of the Squadron.
The Civilian Committee help with the fundraising activities completed by the Squadron as well as proving support to the Squadron Staff to ensure the cadets have all the opportunities they can.
... However, it isn’t a huge drain on your time. Meetings happen once every 6 weeks and fundraising activities are normally once every couple of months! (There is opportunity to be more involved if your time permits).

Today Cpl Goldsmith and Cdt Francis-Smith went Air Experience Flying at RAF Benson! As you can see they had an amazing day! This is just one of the fantastic opportunities you can get by being a member of the Squadron!

This evening Cpl Sievewright was presented with her Blue Wings! The first of many awards we look forward the cadets achieving in 2019!

This evening for our last parade night we went Ice Skating at The Cruise Terminal in Dover! The cadets deserved a treat after a fantastic year! 2019 is looking to be another amazing year!

Yesterday the cadets, staff, committee (and two helpers) were at Tesco, Whitfield bag packing. A total of £561.74 was collected and will help towards fixing the minibus. A fantastic amount for what is a long day!
