A must watch!!! It's actually scary to uncover that a lot of the well known nutritional guru's ideologies are based on someone else's opinion or theory and are often not based on factual evidence.

LOOKING FOR SOMETHING NEW IN 2017?
Last year when I was in Hong Kong visiting my folks on mat leave I went to Flex Studios in central and did some Xtend Barre classes. They were amazing. There are different classes you can do. I particularly loved Xtend Barre Stick as it is a combination of cardio conditioning, ballet, toning and stretching! My perfect mix. Xtend Barre opened up a studio last year in Marylebone so go check them out. If you are stuck in a rut and you are doing the same old exercise there is nothing like mixing it up and getting some good old fitinspiration. Remember if you do the same old thing day in and day out your body will never change!

In life nothing is what it seems. Nothing is ever perfect and everyone - no matter who they are or what they do rides the roller coaster of life. Be grateful for the positive, embrace the negatives, use the hard times to learn about who you are, what you stand for and ultimately to continue moving forward and get what you want.

For all you coffee lovers out there. Say NO to the POD!!!

User

One easy way to do your part people. Please ditch the pods and buy grounded coffee or coffee beans, ground them yourself and brew your own cuppa. It is super easy. Coffee pods are so unnecessary, it is actually crazy how lazy we have become as a society. I get that it is a matter of convenience but honestly, think of all the wasted packaging and plastic you are throwing back into the environment. It is so easy to get any other coffee machine, buy some fresh coffee and make it yourself - this one simple act will eradicate so much waste!! In a world full of consumption it is so important to minimise when we can, and I think it's safe to say we 100% can in this case.

I can't stress how important it is to keep fit an active during your pregnancy. I mean, it's important to keep fit anyway so why would you stop just because of a tiny hurdle in your sights. I totally understand that it's not as easy as it once was, your body changes, things can feel weird and you may need to mix it up more and modify but my advice is to not let that stop you and certainly not to use that as an excuse. Exercising will give you energy and strength and help you prepare for one of the biggest marathons you are about to run. Stay active, get moving and never let that bump get in the way 😋.

I don't quite know what to make of self professed Australian health guru 'Freelee The Banana Girl'. On one hand I understand that she experienced significant weight lose via a high carbohydrate, vegan, raw food diet and she feels the need to share this with the world because it is pretty amazing but on the other hand I can't help but feel this kind of diet is extreme. And when I say diet I mean the foods you eat everyday - this is what the word 'diet' means, people often get...

Even though this Ted Talks is 9 years ago it is still so prevalent. It is actually frightening that society hasn't really come any further in regards to conscious eating and the effects of mass-consumption of meat and diary in todays society. Sure we are aware but all these issues are still major problems when it comes to the food industry and the ever looming issue of global warming. We were doing better in the 1900's... WTF.

When it comes to health, if you want it bad enough, it will happen. Only we have the power to change our destiny. Never underestimate that. This story is a true inspiration.

A healthy mind is a healthy body. We all live such fast paced lives it's so important to just "be" sometimes. Switch off and reconnect. You may turn your nose up at meditating but it has been proven to improve stress levels, anxiety, creativity, self control, bring an inner peace, acceptance and give clarity.

As a pregnant PT I know how important it is to exercise pre, during and post pregnancy. I also know how hard it is to stay motivated battling exhaustion and generally not always feeling on top of the world. Check out this little piece I did for Sportsylist to find out more....

What does being happy and healthy mean to you? This a question I've spent the last few weeks pondering when I came across this clip from one of the directors of a 75 year long study from Harvard and the results were extremely prevalent. Maybe we spend too much time focusing on the wrong things?

Time and time again I am faced with one major problem that most of my clients fall victim too. They sit too long at their desks and as a result they have back, pelvis and hip problems. And no, one hour of exercise does not make up for 8-12 hours of being sedentary. Sure it helps but we need to move more on a regular basis. We weren't born to sit for extended periods of time. It is so crucial to make sure you take regular breaks at work, get up, move about, go to the loo, grab a tea, a water, go for a walk, break for lunch. Honestly, your spine, your brain, your organs, your muscles and your body in general will thank you for it.

Training with Amy has been life changing.

I cannot speak highly enough of Amy. She is dedicated, focused and challenges you to go beyond your comfort zone without ever making you feel like you want to give up.

Amy’s vast experience and holistic approach to fitness gives you the best chance at getting into shape quickly and safely. I first went to Amy with an arm injury and she tailored all of my sessions to ensure I got the very best workout alongside strategies to help strengthen and support my arm.

More than anything, Amy is kind and funny and an hour’s session flies by in spite of the pain inducing squats.

User

Miss Motivator. Amy is great at challenging you and pushing you just outside of your comfort zone in order to get the results you want. Circuit training can be pretty tough and many times you may want to give up but Amy's motivating comments: "this is just for 3minutes out of entire day"...just puts things into perspective. I would leave each session feeling high on life. Great for body, brilliant for the mind. Looking forward to starting again in February.

User

It will be hard to find a better PT in town. Amy listens to your needs and she will prepare a program well adapt to your goal.

She knows how to motivate you and to keep you work hard even when you feel it's too much.

I will definitely work with Amy again soon

User

I won't lie, getting back to exercising again was hell on toast! However, Amy's supportive, patient and tough-but-fair approach allowed me to settle into a regular gym routine that's been extremely beneficial to my health and general wellbeing. I will never love exercise, but Amy has helped me love the me that exercise is creating.

User

I started training with Amy in January and can't recommend her highly enough. She's supportive, motivational and pushes me to challenge my boundaries. She's given me great advice about my diet and making small lifestyles changes. I look forward to every session with her!

User

I genuinely couldn't recommend Amy enough. No matter who you are, what your history is with training, everything she does is bespoke and is so focused on you and your personal progress and development. I trained with Amy for around 4 months and not only saw incredible changes to my body but also my mental attitude to training. Before working with her, I was so focused on high intensity training and neglected everything else. Amy has pushed me to grow and understand my body, and work with me on a variety of exercises that have strengthened my muscles, made me leaner and more flexible. I have absolutely loved training with her, not only does she push you as far as you will go, but also genuinely cares about your progress. She is hilarious and makes training super enjoyable whilst also pushing you to your limit.

User

I cannot recommend Amy highly enough. Since starting training with her in January she has taught me so much. She pushes and challenges you but is always really supportive, motivating and patient. She has completely changed my attitude to working out and I now look forward to exercising. I enjoy every session that I have with Amy and am constantly learning from her and seeing improvement in my abilities. Working with a trainer was not something I had considered in the past but based on my experience with Amy I wish I had started sooner.

Thank you so much Amy

User

I can't recommend Amy highly enough, she is a brilliant trainer. She has been training me through the third trimester of my pregnancy, so very lucky to have found her particularly at this important stage. Her approach to pregnancy training has been caring, challenging and inspiring. She has taught me a lot in a short space of time and has given me the confidence to to focus and manage my pregnancy exercise. She has a very holistic and health-driven approach and is a superb communicator. Looking forward to getting to it post-baby! Thank you!

I am running a marathon in one week and Amy has helped me over the last ten with some great training. I now have some core strength and may survive the day. Amy pushed me to build the strength up, but at a pace that I could cope with and enjoy. She was sensitive to some injuries I have picked up running and playing tennis and adjusted the program accordingly. Whatever, your targets or goals I recommend you get Amy on board to help you achieve them.

User

Amy’s an amazing trainer, I can't recommend her highly enough! Her workouts are challenging but highly enjoyable. And she is the ultimate motivator. Even when I think I can’t go any further she still finds the right encouraging words to help me go the distance, without letting me slack off.

User

Amy simply put is a brilliant personal trainer.

Professional, knowledgeable, motivating, fun and entertaining. Training with Amy feels less like hard work and more time I enjoy that has brilliant results.

I wholeheartedly recommend working with Amy no matter your level of fitness, experience or goal... she will get you there!

User

Amy is such a natural motivator and is a very personal trainer in that she creates a bespoke training schedule that is perfect for my needs and goals. She is great in following up and provides great advice on nutrition as well as fitness. I would recommend her highly.

User

Amy is just amazing! I came to her for Personal Training at Frame when I was 15 weeks pregnant as I wanted to maintain a regular and thorough workout whilst also being safe and sensitive to my baby.

Her sessions are fun, always different and on the right side of challenging.

She also understood when I needed to modify my exercises as my physical state changed each week the further along my pregnancy I got. She is totally focussed on you and what you need. I could not recommend her more highly!

User

Amy is brilliant at what she does--- she actually makes working out fun and interesting, and gets your body in great shape in the process. She is tough on you, and constantly makes you sweat (and swear/pull funny faces) but its worth it. She really tries to understand where you are in each exercise so she knows how far to push you while taking the time to ensure you are completely each exercise with the correct technique so that you don't injure yourself. I cannot recommend her highly enough.
