ABIGAILS TEAROOMS
first visit with My Mum today, Wendy was our waitress what a lovely lady, hospitality 100% thankyou so much for making us feel so welcome....and I totally understand about Robins you had one your little garden by the cafe xxx definitely a sign ’┐Į’┐Į
Went with friends for my birthday lunch. It was a sunny day so we wanted to sit outside. We wanted something light to eat as we were going out for Dinner in the evening. We ordered a sandwich and a pot of tea each. The bread was lovely and fresh we really enjoyed it and the staff were very friendly. It was very reasonable priced.
We have walked past so many times and always said we would try it. Today we got our chance as it's always so busy. A bit late in the day but the staff were still bright and cheerful. Our sandwiches were fresh and delicious. The lemon curd and chocolate cakes were so tasty I wanted more. Definitely will be back again
Very nice stop off while walking around abbey , recommend the Welsh rarebit with poached eggs, lovely , will definitely make return visit
Super friendly and delicious food! Got extra rashers of bacon ’┐Į without asking! Thank you for being so welcoming and serving scrummy food!
Popped in for a drink with the inlaws, husband and two year old son. The staff were wonderful and did our son a little babyccino in his new mug that we had bought in another shop. Such kind and attentive staff - thank you!
My daughter and son-in law bought me here and I had the Welsh rarebit with poached egg. It was delicious! I have been back since with my daughter and grandson I love this place and will definitely be back again. Its a traditional tea room and very welcoming
Lovely place, the waitress was really friendly and pleasant and the food was great !! Definitely going back for seconds ’┐Į’┐Į
Lovely place for a relaxing cup of T, and cake, also do a very nice all day breakfast.
Lovely friendly welcome & warm scones with our afternoon tea, just what we needed after an afternoon stroll & it had just started to rain ŌśĢ’ĖŤŹ░Ōśö’ĖÅ
Love this place! I was a first time customer today, and enjoyed everything, the decor, the food and the staff, such lovely people and a great atmosphere. Even my 2 year old enjoyed herself, Definitely coming back soon x
I have used Abigail's Tearoom most weeks for at least 10 years. Lovely atmosphere - a real find (a hidden gem). Individual with character (not just another chain). Good (English) food. A very nice setting which also has an outside patio with trees near the Abbey.
I have always found the staff very friendly and they are an absolute delight to know.
I would recommend Abigails to anyone.
Great service. Friendly staff and food lovely. Love to pop in there when I'm in St Albans. Great location right next to the Abbey
Bright and cheerful. Staff very helpful and polite. Food delicious. Lovely view of the cathedral.
On the fringe of the cathedral this tea room commands a superb spot.
Been here several times and even took friends along.
Great wee place
Lovely position, delicious home made chocolate cake, would be five stars but the coffee was too weak.. and I am fussy about my coffee!
Lovely home-made pies, however it would be good to offer vegetarian version as well. For example cheese/vegetables and mushroom pie would be great. The young ladies serving were lovely and efficient, but it was a bit off-putting to see her handling the cakes and scones with bare hands. Would be better to use gloves or some other equipment for that.
I had Welsh rarebit slightly burnt with bacon , enjoyable .Waitress service brilliant but the man working there had no personality and I felt was rude
A very nice tea room found by accident. The food was very good and the staff were also very pleasant. We sat near the log burner opposite the toilet. Which ruined our time there. As several people who used it, Left both doors open, so you could clearly see inside. And we couldn't wait to leave. No consideration for people sitting eating. Shame
