Good evening to all. Acorn Taxis are currently looking for a full time Base operator willing to work flexible hours of between 35 and 40 hours a week. The exact shifts will be discussed. Must be neat in appearance and polite, some customer service experience and computer knowledge preferred but not essential as full on site training will be given. Used the taxi service for a Gatwick airport run! Fantastic service! Taxi allowed plenty of time for both journeys there and back, driver anetha was exactly where she would be and on time when we arrived back in the uk! I use taxy for 3 weeks everyday on 5 am - 5:30 am.

They don't let me waiting and I have another 7 people with me.

I have used this company a few timea now and must say I am totally impressed.

The office was immaculate and the ladies on the counter very professional and courteous as also were the drivers. All very smart in uniform which was a surprise.. cars are immaculate and fares very reasonable..thank you driver Michael for helping me with my shopping..

Honestly canŌĆÖt believe what has just happened! Taxi nv15 vlj has just picked us up from the goodbarns and took us home for free after realising it was my daughters 16th birthday! I tried to pay him 3 times but he wouldnŌĆÖt accept it! I always use acorn and with customer service like that why would you use anybody else!

Have to say owner Zhahed is a lovely man. Had an issue with the phone staff, I rang to speak to him and he listened apologised and resolved the issue.

Called Acorn on Sunday morning 23rd July 2017 to book car for appointment at Ringrose Law Group at 11am the following day (today, Monday 24th July 2017) The Acorn operator said that 10:30am would be the optimum pick up time and we agreed. This morning wilth no taxi having arrived I called Acorn at 10:36am, to ask the reason for the delay but felt that I was fobbed off with the usual 'he's been delayed' nonsense which in my experience generally means 'we have forgotten all about your booking but we will sort it out now'. At 10:50 am I phoned again. Despite having discussed the missing vehicle only ten minutes previously it was clear that they had no idea that we were still waiting despite having initially given 24 hours notice of our requirements plus the two chaser calls. All along the line was that the driver had been delayed. This was very interesting to learn especially when the driver, who mysteriously arrived in a seven seater minibus, remarked that he had only been given the job at 10:50am today which coincided precisely with my second chaser call. So, as I originally suspected, Acorn had made a mistake and had not covered this job which is why we arrived late for our appointment and had to endure a bumpy ride in a minibus designed for seven people, not two! At no point during the calls this morning did anyone choose to apologise for the failure to provide the requested and booked service. This was my first trip with Acorn and I suspect that it may well be the last. Maybe the control room staff just had a bad day - this was clearly NOT the driver's fault - but what is wrong with saying 'We are very sorry but we made a mistake' rather than just spin a yarn about supposed delays? So as a first time customer I am not at all impressed. :p

They have now cost me my job because I cannot get to work on time and made the stupid mistake of relying on this firm

On friday my mum and dad phoned for acorn to take my dad to hospital who is ill with cancer he could hardly walk and had to crawl in on his hands and knees into the transit van they sent while the taxi driver stood and watched and did they same when they got to the hospital a woman came rushing to help them cos she could see how destressed they was my dad is 77 years old. Enough said .

Maybe your drivers could have a little respect for the property of others....twice today your drivers have see fit to turn on our front lawn...not expected when we haven't ordered a taxi ourselves :(

I used Acorn many times and drivers always are very nice and helpfull but phone operator needs to learn a manners!

Last week I asked if Acorn is 24/7 services because I can't order taxi at 5 30 am (nobody answer the phone).

They apologised and gave me mobile number to make sure I can order taxi next time.

This morning I called at 5 30 and very rude person told me booking start at 6am!

I will asked why they gave me wrong info and mobile number and operator just hanged up!

So if you are late to work or have got any emergency situation don't count on Acorn!
