*WEEKLY CHALLENGE ROUND UP*
It’s been an incredible week of challenge & adventure; keeping us at ACHQ busy and as always our AC Crew are working hard across the globe helping others achieve their goals.
We wanted to bring you a bit of an update from the week!
... ~ The Lemosho & Machame teams (+ our very own ACHQ Jess) all made it to the summit of Kilimanjaro Wednesday night - that's a big tick off the bucket list for them! ~ Our two Everest Base Camp teams are making their way through the Himalayas - heading towards Basecamp. Special shout out to our Trek Master James – he has looked after so many people this achieving their goals on our Ultra Challenges – we are all thinking of you James! ~ Our 120 Saharan Challengers are now coming across the finish line after a very hot & sweaty day 1 – 26.2 miles later! Time for a sit down & shade before tomorrow’s epic final marathon through the desert. ~ The Ultimate Ultra Challengers have now achieved 9.8 laps of the world since we began in January 2018 – with our current October leader Tony Knight having achieved 285 km already!
We’ve two more teams who have just landed into Kilimanjaro at the foot of the mountain, ready to start their climb tomorrow morning – and a team from Blackrock London heading out to Kathmandu to begin their Everest Basecamp adventure this evening. We want to wish everyone jetting off on their adventures an enormous good luck – we can’t wait to see and hear about it!
You don’t have to be scaling mountains or running marathons to push yourself – weather you’ve a 5k jog around the local park or a longer training walk planned for the weekend ahead – share with us how you are pushing yourself further & challenging yourself!
Until next week...
Team AC

Wishing all the best to all the runners and walkers do the grand union challenge today!!

User

We took part in the Tesco Great Walk and were looked after well by the guys Action Challenge. Everyone was really supportive and friendly. Our leg of the route was really well organised.

I would definitely do a challenge with them again.

User

We did the great Tesco walk Towcester to Daventry thank you to the support team you were brilliant all the way

User

Took part in the Thames path trek today. Cannot recommend action challenge highly enough. The organisation at the start, finish and rest stop was excellent. Great snacks, great signage en route. All in all, a fabulous day. Will definitely do another challenge.

User

Took part in the Thames Path 100k Challenge at the start of September. I found the organization of the event from start to finish was fantastic, every volunteer greeted me with a smile on their face, every aid station came exactly when you needed it with plenty of supplies to get you through and keep you going. Having access to clean toilets at each aid station was such a relief too. So delighted with it that I’ve signed up for London to Brighton in May.

User

Took part In the ultra 57km tesco walk on the 20th. The guys were fab at keeping us all going. Had an amazing time. Thanks again.

User

The very best organisation for challenge events, especially the "trek masters"...

User

The London to Brighton challenge was by far the best race I've ever done! Amazing organisation, lovely marshals and supporters. Overall 10/10!! Thank you so much!!

User

Thanks Action Challenge for a fantastic 100km Cotswolds Challenge! X

User

So this time last week I was walking the Thames path challenging 100km in 20hrs 21mins, the hardest thing I've ever done but the most amazing experience. Very well organised, excellent rest stops and lovely helpers, will definitely be doing another!

User

Recently did the South Coast Challenge and absolutely loved it. This was my first Action Challenge and it was so well supported. I will be doing many more of these from now on. Thank you.

User

Love working on challenges all participants are brilliant

User

I've done a few events with Action Challenge now including Kilimanjaro and the London 2 Brighton 100km yesterday. The events are impeccably organised and the support from signing up through to the end of the event is brilliant. Thank you all for doing such an amazing job.

User

I wouldn't walk with anyone else. Such a fantastic support group.

User

Great organization, very helpful and supportive

User

Great Support and well organised challenges. Kili and Great Wall

User

I had an amazing experience with Action Challenge climbing Mount Kilimanjaro. The team and participants were excellent. I would not of wished for a better group

User

I was super excited for the Henley 10k challenge last weekend. The pre event organisation was great, the people on the registration desks were friendly and helpful. The warmup was good and entertaining. However, my wave of runners set off at 10:30 and around the 2km the signage was extremely poor and we couldn't get back on track. With no marshals positioned around the course we created our own 10km route along the river and back down. This was not ideal as we were running against the flow of runners. The course in general was less than ideal for runners, there were various cow fields, gates and styles to cross along the way and there was no pre event warning about what the conditions under foot would be like. I was extremely disappointed with the course and lack of marshals around it and also running on open busy roads through Henley.
