Dr. Read qualified as a medical doctor in 1990 at Liverpool University Medical School.
Since then she has worked as a Consultant Psychiatrist in the NHS for many years, across a number of different clinical and research settings, and is currently Trust ADHD Lead and Lead ADHD Consultant for a large London NHS Trust.
She is passionate about ADHD as she has witnessed so many patients with lifelong anxiety, depression, shame and failure to achieve their potential, grow and bloss...om once the underlying explanation for their difficulties is diagnosed and treated.
As well as ADHD, Dr. Read specialises in eating disorders, autistic spectrum disorders, forensic mental health, womens’ mental health and psychotherapy.
Dr. Read has lived experience of ADHD as one of her sons, now adult, is diagnosed with both ADHD and autistic spectrum disorder.
