Ajwah Academy is an Islamic institution that provides a fresh approach to learning the Holy Qur’aan, Arabic and Islamic Studies for children and adults in an encouraging and vibrant environment.

Intention is one of the fundamental pre-requisites of a good action. The term “Ajwah” has been selectively chosen with a clear goal in mind. This is due to the fact that amongst all the existing dates, “Ajwah” is famously known as the best one. The Messenger of Allaah (Sallallaahu ‘Alayhi Wasallam) said,

“Ajwah dates are from paradise. ” 1

Furthermore, “Ajwah” date is cultivated in one of the most honourable city of Madinah Munawwarah from which Al-Islam has spread all over the world. Many virtues in regards to “Ajwah” have been narrated in the authentic sayings of our beloved prophet (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam). 2

In this regard, is it incumbent on the seeker of knowledge to select from where they acquire knowledge. In this connection, Muhammad Ibn Sereen(rahimahullah)stated that:

إن هذا العلم دين ، فانظروا عمن تأخذوا دينكم

“This knowledge is a matter of deen, so be careful who you take your deen from. ”

Furthermore, since “Ajwah” is known as a cure against poison and magic, the acquired Islamic knowledge at “Ajwah Academy” should be insha Allah a cure for all spiritual diseases within ourselves and also to purify our actions from impurities and innovation (bid’a).

Ajwah Academy is aware that the vast majority of people have full time commitments ranging from fulltime daily occupations, studies and family life. Therefore, based on these factors which might cause a hindrance to our moral and spiritual development, we at Ajwah Academy, endeavour to bring a flexible approach to teaching and learning at different levels and age groups, at a convenient time and place which suite your daily commitments.

2. The Messenger (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) said, “Whoever has seven Ajwa dates every morning he will not be harmed on that day by poison or magic. ”(Saheeh al-Bukhaaree, 5445, 5768, 5769, 5779. )
Referring to eating seven Ajwah dates, the Messenger (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) said, “He will not be harmed by anything until he reaches the evening. ” (Saheeh Muslim, 2047).
Madina Dates Keep Away Harm: The Messenger (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) said, “Whoever has seven dates between the two areas (the east and west of Madina) as soon as he wakes up every morning, he will not be harmed on that day by poison until the evening. ” (Saheeh Muslim, 154, 2047. )
Dates In One’s Home: The Messenger (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) said, “O Aisha! A house that has no dates in it their family is hungry. Oh Aisha! A house that has no dates in it their family is hungry. ” (Saheeh Muslim, 153).
