Sorry for the late response.. we held our mums surprise 70th birthday party in Sept. I cannot thank Debbie and her staff enough Charlotte on the bar and the chefs were all fantastic and very accomodating. The food was delicious i would definately recommend this venue for any celebration - all your needs are met under one roof.

Have been here 3 times and i must say i have enjoyed every visit. Food is of a good standard and i cant complain. My daughter is 9 and very fussy with her food and didn't want anything apart from the starter Chicken on the sticks. I explained this to one of the staff and she offered to make her some Chips, l was so pleased with this as they had gone out of their way. Staff are helpful but i do think a little more training could be had in putting guest at ease, but all in all it's worth the visit. Hoping to visit again very soon.

Excellent food everytime. Those lamb ribs and sticky chicken is a must. Staff were on point and will be definitely going back to enjoy another great night.

Celebrated my birthday lastnight. The caribbean buffet 10/10 compliments to the chef. They couldn't do enough for me. The venue is fantastic. Thank you for your professionalism. Will definitely come back

Alchemy is an excellent concept of Jamaican cuisine however menu limited. Staff serving food were quite rude and would benefit from some Customer service training. All in all the venue is good and I would recommend it

What a disappointment...the music was ok...however I went to purchase a drink and noticed they were selling Lidl or Iceland Ameretto instead of the original liquor and charging bloody £4 @ glass...

Damn disgraceful..that drink cost them £4 at the most...

Went here tonight for my work Christmas party and was solely disappointed. For a Friday night in Croydon near Christmas, the place had no customers so no atmosphere. We were told after we had eaten that dessert had to be prebooked (which we were not previously told) so nobody had desserts. Once our party had finished eating the staff were then seen helping themselves to the buffet for our party. No beer on tap as barrels have not been installed. Limited bottled beer collection. Sainsbury’s own brand tonic water. Advertises cocktails but all that was available was rum punch. The food wasn’t great. When I asked for the last 2 bits of chicken I was told that one had been saved for someone who wasn’t in our party as everyone had finished eating. The food I had wasn’t that great either, was also served quite late. All in all the worse office Christmas party I’ve attended all due to the venue.

Poor, poor, poor. No communication, no customer service skills, bad attitude. Especially the women that work there. My daughter pre booked her birthday paid the deposit and when we arrived they were closed hahaha what a joke!! We were left standing in the cold and had to find somewhere else to eat. Their excuse was they lost the booking, tut tut! They did say my daughter could come back and have free meals because of the inconvenience, so she booked again for her sisters bday. Off we went to try again for this fantastic alchemy experience to be met with pure attitude, the place wasnt ready they stuck us in a corner so we had to climb over chairs to get in and out fair enough we was a bit late by half hour but they wasnt ready anyway we waited till about 8 oclock for the food our booking was for 6 and had the cheek to say because we were late we have to hurry up and eat coz they need our tables. Poor, poor, poor!! Learn some customer skills, u might benefit more from it...... Never go there again. Oh! On the plus side the food was nice. Very dis-pleased customer!!!

Overpriced food. Bland and unseasoned. No menus for drinks or food. Unfortunately this is worst west Indian food that me + the 6 friends i went with have ever had. I think the few people who have left reviews are all family or friends to the owners. Really disorganised and poor quality restaurant/bar.

I made a booking for a surprise birthday here. Having invited everyone, the owner was contacted to confirm numbers on Tuesday; we had agreed she would be contacted on Wednesday.



When the owner was called, she apologised that she had double booked as her business partner failed to record another booking and there was nothing that could be done.



This is unacceptable and incompetent behaviour. A simple 'sorry' is not good enough when my event has to be cancelled due to no fault of my own, only 5 days in advance. I suggest customers do not bother going to a place with such a low level of professionalism.
