Alexander Jansons Myocarditis UK was formed following the death of Alexander Jansons from Myocarditis in July 2013 he was 18 years old. We aim to raise awareness for this inflammatory heart condition and to raise money for continued medical research.

Alexander Jansons Fund was set up after the death of Alexander Jansons from Myocarditis a virus which attacks the heart. Myocarditis affects individuals of all ages although it is most frequent in the young.

Alexander died in July 2013 he was 18 years old. His father Andy Jansons has decided to set up the foundation to fund a 3 year research paper headed by Dr Sanjay Prasad from Royal Brompton Hospital.

Andy Jansons has pledged a minimum of £80, 000 per year . The charity will fund research into the causes, prevention and cures for Myocarditis. The knowledge gained from the research will add to the body of existing knowledge and increase the understanding of the disease and how it can be prevented and cured, therefore saving lives in the future.

Every penny raised will go directly to the Alexander Jansons Fund.
