Down by the river on Bankend you’ll find us, must be one of the most photographed pubs in london

User

Stopped off to have lunch food really good

User

Prompt bar service and food order promt too, even though it was busy with with the France - Croatia game showing. Tasty , well presented food and good service.

Tables cleared and cleaned without asking. Serviettes and condiments topped up before they ran out.

Fish and chips looked delicious and will definitely be having that next time.

User

Part of a large party who arrived without booking. Excellent service, arranged tables to seat us together and the beer and food was top class.

User

I can certainly recommend the lamb and mash pie , the staff and atmosphere were wonderful and we were particularly impressed with the member of staff who warned one of us to put her bag in a safer position. An historical pub in a spectacularly historical part of London what could be better?

User

Fantastic pub. Different bars to choose from. Lovely outside area by the river. Will definitely be returning ÔŅĹ

Fantastic Pub side by side with the Thames. It's a London brand ‚ÄĒ Sensational

User

Busy place always, good bar and food service and attentive staff.

User

A great old pub right on the Thames. It gets very busy but you wouldn’t expect anything else because of where it is situated. We had a cold drink on their terrace alongside the Thames. We didn’t eat but the table next to us had the best looking fish and chips I have seen in a long time. Well worth a visit!!

User

We stopped for a drink in the sunshine and so my friends little boy could have ice cream. Ended up staying for a few hours.

The atmosphere was very happy, chilled and friendly.

It was very busy, but the service was fast.

The views over the Thames from the garden are lovely. My friends little boy loved watching the boats go by.

Will definitely go again ÔŅĹ

Saw this on a Thames river tour.

Made our way there after on a busy Thursday evening, we got a table outside pretty quickly despite lack of staff to advise.

Fairly good service ( Although the female bartender could not understand why I didn't like the Sauvignon Blanc she served me after I asked for Chardonnay!)

Really good starters as all we wanted was nibbles.

We will return!!!

Nice place, food food, not cheap, but it’s london. So really if you go to any other pub you’d be paying more a less the same. This one is on a great location with a pretty good view.

User

A perfect spot to use as a base for getting around London. Good clean basic rooms with breakfast. I was introduced by my father who was an ‚Äėold boy‚Äô at LSE nearly 60 years ago.

User

The Anchor Bankside has a great outside area. Obviously gets very busy in the sunshine, and then gets very unorganized , staff are not aware of table numbers so food is being backed up on a shelf. Food quality nothing to write home about. Beef was tough veg looked withered and watery. All in all good weather good Pimms.

User

Historic old pub, which has been greatly extended, thereby losing some character. Now has a raised terrace to the side, and a seating area next to the river. Very popular, being near London Bridge and all the Bankside attractions. Prices are adjusted accordingly and are high. (E.g. Fish and chips £16. Pint of 'Craft' beer £6.20.)

User

Great food and real ale. The big disappointment for me was the rip off prices for the side orders. I ordered Garlic bread with cheese at £3.79. What I got was 2 very small and thin wedges of Garlic bread and cheese. An absolute rip off at nearly £1.90 for a flimsy slice. When I questioned this with the waiter , he was not interested. Enjoy the mains and drink but be careful what you order on the side.

This pub is known to have refused entry to anyone in Pride colours during Pride in London and has refused entry to customers carrying a rainbow flag.

What does the Anchor have to say about this?

ÔŅĹÔŅĹÔŅĹÔŅĹÔŅĹÔŅĹÔŅĹÔŅĹÔŅĹÔŅĹÔŅĹÔŅĹÔŅ Ĺ

My friend was thrown of the pub for carrying a rainbow flag on the day of London Pride. Shameful behaviour by the bouncer and manager. Then lying about not doing it. ÔŅĹ Never getting a penny from me again.

User

Don't use this place!

Moody and unfriendly stuff.

16 min to make an order!

32 min to receive an order!

Single-use plastic glasses being picked from the trash washed and used again.

The worst food/drink experience I ever had in London!

User

Dirty tables no staff and poor food
