Our Café offers an excellent, well priced array of breakfasts, lunches, light refreshments, beers, wines, speciality coffees and children’s meals. There are comfortable seating areas both in the café & also outside on the covered patio next to the lake. Disabled toilets & baby change facilities are also available.
We now offer a fine dining experience three nights a week on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 6: 30pm. Call us to reserve your table.
There is a private garden used for BBQs during the summer months and this is available for private hire.

REALLY BIG THANKS... to everyone that turned out today for our first ever summer fayre.. stall holders, performers, and visitors.. Thank you all for your patience in our cafe it was busier than normal the girls & guys were under a lot of pressure but rose to do there best to keep you all fed and watered as quick as possible... We went there last night for our xmas dinner. It was great. Food good and plenty of it. The staff (Jane and Mark) were first class. Well worth the money. We had a fabulous time. Thank you.
Very friendly people, great fish finger sandwich, also ate half of my son's bacon sandwich which I must say is one of the better bacon sandwiches I have had. Great place to keep the kids entertained as well. My son is 7 and although got a little bored with the real fishing he loved the magnet fishing and wondering around the lakes. ***** form us.

I have popped into ths cafe a few times now and have had a great experience. It is so picturesque. The food has always been top class when I have visited. A lady called Sharon has cooked my food everytime I have been there and it has been spot on perfect. I found her both friendly and really catered to my needs if I needed anything. Defiantly will be visiting again soon as long as that lovely lady is cooking my breakfast.
Had a great time yesterday fishing with the help of lovely Dave. Will be back next week. Lovely place.

Bit of a biased review as I work here as the quiz host on Fridays, but there is no doubt whatsoever how much of a hidden gem this place is.
I discovered it at a breakfast meetup where I was hosting a small mini-quiz for a men's church outing, and was very taken with the spotless and cosy atmosphere of the cafe and it's very well prepared and presented breakfasts. I began talks with Mark that same day about running quiz evenings there for the general public as I very quickly recognised the excellent potential of the venue.
Popular with neighbouring locals, anglers, families, tradespersons, and all manner of private booked parties, the Angler's Rest Cafe gets just about everything right - staff are totally on the ball and always think ahead, hygiene is pristine, food quality is excellent and the setting is the perfect antidote to a stressful morning in any season of the year.
Tuesday mornings run a Business Breakfast weekly meetup (7am-8:30am) for local tradespersons and businesses to network and share ideas.
Fridays run a quiz night every week (7:30pm start) with £2 entry per player, maximum 4 players per team; cash prize, wine prize, sweet prizes plus an Open The Box And Win A Fortune raffle event.
Free parking and free Wi-Fi.
During wet weather months or heavy rainfall, you are advised to wear wellington boots or waterproof shoes on arrival as the car park can often get quite wet, muddy and damp due to the sand based ground and nearby fishing lake, so keep your heels or dress shoes in a bag until you reach the entrance!

A very big thank you to Mark and the staff at the Anglers Rest for a great Xmas Brunch yesterday. We were a group of 19 and everyone without exception enjoyed it.
We loved the Xmas decorations which made it all look really festive and the crackers were a nice touch.
As usual, the food and service were top class. We can't thank you all enough.
We look forward to seeing you in 2018.
