Went for tea sat 31st March. Fantastic food and lovely wee area to eat in. Kids meals were great and service good. Fantastic spot right beside the caravan.

We had a fantastic meal tonight for our anniversary, Chris Furey the Chef along with the front of house staff couldn’t do enough for us. The food was exquisite. Thank you guys.

We booked here for Mothers Day lunch for 12 of us and from the moment we came in we were given a warm welcome. I had the goats cheese started which was just fabulous and then the roast lamb dinner which came with all the trimmings.....the bone marrow gravy is to die for! Lovely choice of desserts, I chose a white chocolate creme brulee which was sublime. The service was prompt and friendly and I would definitely recommend a visit

I've now eaten twice at this real hidden gem. First time was at Christmas and second was Valentine's night. I cannot fault either visit. The menu on our first visit was so appetising I struggled to settle on just one dish but I eventually went for the Curry. It was fabulous. I was however jealous of the goats cheese dish ordered by another of our party, so it was first up for me when we returned for Valentine's. The set menu was very reasonably priced, especially considering how the chef prioritises sourcing local. You can't beat a menu with Corndale Chorizo, Broighter gold oils and Abernethy Butter featuring.

I could have eaten the goat's cheese starter twice it was so utterly delicious, and I also managed to try the soup ordered by my husband - again a gorgeous offering. In fact every dish ordered by anyone during our two visits were flawless. The warm cosy atmosphere is matched by a wonderful welcome and great service by the front of house team. I resisted picking up some of the homemade beetroot chutney now on sale there too...kind of regretting that now though! I've made a booking to return next week, and booked a family function later in the year...and I can't wait. Highly recommended and great to see another fabulous restaurant on the North Coast.

I was here last night as part of a Christmas do. The food was phenomenal, so well presented and tasted gorgeous. The staff as well are so polite and checked up on us at regular intervals to ensure we were enjoying our meal. You can tell a lot of thought has gone into the Anglers Rest and it shows in the food and the venue. I most definitely will be back. �

I never usually write reviews, but Anglers Rest deserves special recognition. Came in to eat over the Christmas holidays with my brother, based on the great experiences I had coming in to eat over the summer. It is exceptional...thoughtful, creative and very very tasty food. Great service and roaring fire also. In my opinion best food in the Limavady area by miles, a different league compared to the usual bland overcooked 'feeds' you get in some other places. Would thoroughly recommend it, and recommend other local restaurants to learn from you to raise the bar locally.

I had the loin of bacon and it was by far the nicest ive ever had . All the Food was unreal .cant wait until we return again very soon xx

I cannot recommend this place highly enough! It has a real country pub atmosphere and the food is absolutely amazing. We’ve eaten here 10+ times in the last 12 months and the food and service has always been exceptional- they cater for all and my kids love coming here. The seafood chowder, ham & eggs and bfc chicken are firm favourites of ours and our kids just love the creme brûlée dessert � Patricia and the staff are always attentive and our kids are always made feel welcome. We’ve even held a family event in the beatufully decorated ‘Barn’. The staff helped with all of our requests and the room was laid out beautifully- we had a lovely intimate evening. If you’re ever up this part of the country you need to visit this place. Can’t wait to visit again soon �

Have eaten here many times. Tonight we went as it was my 9 year old daughters choice for her birthday meal. She wanted a dish from the main menu, the chef/kitchen staff kindly obliged providing a smaller portion. She loved it. This restaurant is easily on a par with many in the Belfast area without the Belfast prices. I have to say that the food keeps getting better. The white chocolate creme brûlée is to die for. You’d need to go a long way to beat the lobster and crayfish linguine. Great food, great value for money.

Had my little boys christening party at the anglers rest on the 9th March. The staff were fab and we were all so well looked after. We had the buffet and it was great quality and very reasonably priced!! Will definitely be back for a meal some time soon.

We called in yesterday for the very first time on our way to Coleraine and to be honest we were not that impressed. First of all after waiting for over 25 min I had to ask the waitress about the delay in serving our Main Meal.

Eventually when it did appeare we were very disappointed to see that it was served to us in very large and deep bowls, which made eating our meal out of them very awkward to say the least. (a plate would of been nice)

The food was nice if a bit expensive as we find better value for money at various other places around the North Coast. I.e three course meal for the price of a main. Wouldn't be rushing back. �

The food was good but the long wait for it to arrive was annoying, over an hour to get something to eat is just plain bad service. The staff were friendly but they did nothing to explain the wait or try to keep us informed of the slow progress. We ordered nothing to difficult to prepare but it was so slow.

Positives first.

Building and interior looks amazing. Staff friendly and helpful. Manager spoke to us and was genuinely interested in our feedback.

All of our starters were great seafood chowder in particular was tops.

The mains however were a little underwhelming. The menus have a long tempting description for each dish yet food does not live up too it. While it all looked great it seemed a little overpriced for what it was. I ordered the chicken which was 3 small chicken pieces about 8 chips a small slaw a small corn cob and some gravy £12.50 should have been nearer £8. The chips are fried in beef dripping yet they were very dry and not crispy personally I would drop the dripping and use oil. My daughter is vegetarian so couldn't eat them.

While all this sounds negative I think with a few tweaks. Stop trying to be high end when the food isn't. And this place could be great. Staff and building are great.

This restaurant is quiet new I feel. I am looking forward to trying again in a year or two as it definitely deserves a second chance.

Went on Sunday for lunch, waited 45 minutes to be offered a drink and when the food arrived it was only average. Wouldn't recommend sorry

Nice pub but they are totally trying to be something they are not I ordered a dish with a two and a half line menu explanation of the the dish which sounded so mouthwatering even at the price of £11 it sounded the dogs balls but what I recieved was a cheese burger and a few chips for £11 sorry nice try. But it’s back to the drawing board for you lot it’s simple if the food doesn’t match the menu then don’t bother the public are not stupid...

Food was a long time of coming and when it did it was average then when bill came we were asked if we could move to the bar as another booking was due won’t be in a rush back.

Call in tonight just after 7pm for a table of 4. Ordered drinks and given menus no problem. At 7.35pm decided to leave as 4 other tables had arrived and orderes taken while we where still waiting. Having a caravan at the nearby golden sands caravan park probably would have been in on a regular basis but after tonight wont be back.
