Iโ€™m sharing this not because itโ€™s new but because I have to explain EXACTLY this several times a week. When youโ€™ve got disc pain you have to reduce intra-abdominal pressure not increase it. Anyone whoโ€™s had disc problems will know what happens when they sneeze ๐Ÿคง

Nice wee post about the importance of the hamstring muscles in protecting the ACL ligament. Useful exercises both for rehab and prehab ๐Ÿ‘

Well what a day in clinic. Today we had muscle strains, pelvic ligament strains, irritated rotator cuff and tendinitis. Spinal joint problems and disc strains and to top it off Spinal stenosis with neurogenic claudication.
Happy Monday everyone ๐ŸคŸ

One for the lifters ๐Ÿ’ช

I find myself arguing with this all the time. If only doctors or surgeons ended a report with *โ€œwhich is entirely normal for your ageโ€* That would be a big help ๐Ÿ‘

Brilliant

Disc strains are always about management. Understanding what to do to help, with a bit of patience usually does the job ๐Ÿ‘

One for the lifters...protein does work ๐Ÿ‹๏ธโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿ‘

Another plus for fasting ๐Ÿ‘

So this study suggests that brain cells called โ€œglial cellsโ€ release inflammation in the brain leashing to increased sensitivity and fibromyalgia symptoms. Why is this important?? Because, if they can reliably detect this in patients then it makes diagnosis much easier, and may also lead to some future treatment options ๐Ÿ‘

Exciting times ๐Ÿ‘

A quick solution to help muscle relax, reducing cramps and a good nights sleep. Think I might give this a try ๐Ÿ‘

User

I heard about this a while ago. Apparently, your body, in itโ€™s fasting state, digests old inefficient immune cells, then regenerates new healthy ones ๐Ÿ‘

User

This is why is alway important to consider the biological, psychological and sociological stressors

Iโ€™ve shared this before but Iโ€™ll share it again. The message is so simple to avoid heart attacks and strokes leading to a longer and healthier life ๐Ÿ˜Š
Basically, try to move more, eat less refined carbohydrates (bread and pasta etc) which are high in sugar, and processed foods. Theyโ€™ve the ones responsible for producing systemic inflammation that leads to coronary artery disease, not cholesterol!!
โ€œCoronary artery disease is a chronic inflammatory disease and it can be reduced effectively by walking 22 min a day and eating real food. There is no business model or market to help spread this simple yet powerful intervention.โ€
