We provide fun, educational and interactive animal experiences. Visiting schools, care homes, nurseries, birthday parties, weddings, christenings, fetes, photo shoots, TV and films, life drawings for art and more. Our sessions are tailored to meet your requirements i. e covering specific national curriculum areas on request.
All of our animals live on our smallholding in the beautiful Kent country side. Over 20 years of experience keeping a wide variety of animals, just for the love of it, was the inspiration behind Animalia. We are confident in the expert care and knowledge we provide which enables us to combine our respect and enthusiasm for all creatures with a job we love and to share that enthusiasm with others.
All staff are fully insured and DBS checked.
Animal welfare is an utmost priority and we follow the Animal Welfare Acts Five Freedoms;
1. FREEDOM FROM HUNGER OR THIRST by ready access to fresh water and a diet to maintain full health and vigour.
2. FREEDOM FROM DISCOMFORT by providing an appropriate environment including shelter and a comfortable resting area.
3. FREEDOM FROM PAIN, INJURY OR DISEASE by prevention or rapid diagnosis and treatment.
4. FREEDOM TO EXPRESS (MOST) NORMAL BEHAVIOR by providing sufficient space, proper facilities and company of the animal's own kind.
5. FREEDOM FROM FEAR AND DISTRESS by ensuring conditions and treatment which avoid mental suffering.
PLEASE BE AWARE that any reputable animal handling company should have DBS certificates, Public Liability Insurance, risk /safety assessment and should have obtained a Performing Animal Licence from their local authority. Please ask to see these documents before booking. There are also certain exotic species that are not considered by the RSPCA to be suitable for handling sessions. Please also consider this before booking an animal handling /encounters company. Please be reassured that we welcome the proposed new legislation that will make licenses for animal handling companies compulsory!

Today she managed to find a tiny hole behind the fireplace and get herself stuck in the wall cavity behind the tv 😰😳Second pic of my dad who had to come home from work, dismantle the wall behind to get her out and is now busy putting it all back together !!... thanks Dad xxx😊
Ok let’s build a reptile house🦎🐍🐢......Where to start!!??🤔🤣
Today we are reinforcing Willows enclosure in the hope that she will have no choice but to use her new ark. We have been hiding treats inside all week to encourage her in and make her feel comfortable being inside ... my dad has also mentioned bacon several times 😳😆🐷. Tomorrow we need to dismantle her old house to make way for the new reptile house...with work beginning next weekend 🤞🔧🔨
Home for the next few days! Taking a relaxing break over my birthday.... what better way than to spend it in a tree house. Thanks to my mum, dad and sister who will be taking care of all the animals until I get back on Saturday ... all messages and emails will be answered by Monday
Yesterday Willow got a lovely new ark!🤗.... however this morning she was nowhere to be seen!? She had pushed through the new fencing and made her way back to her old house where she has been squatting all day !! 🏠🐖😫
Today at a care home in Staplehurt, Dobby enjoyed her lunchbox of goodies. Yummy!!!

WHAT A YEAR ITS BEEN!!! All money made from Animalia Encounters in it's first year of business went entirely back to our animals. Paying for housing upgrades, vet bills, vaccinations, food, bedding and enrichment, with plans for a new purpose built reptile house due to start in the new year. I am so lucky to have the support of my family and a flexible regular job which enables me to accommodate your bookings and do what I love. If you would like to book one of our workshops it is always helpful and advised to book well in advance to ensure we can accommodate your preferred date and time. Noodle unexpectedly shed his skin during a care home visit this week ... much to the fascination of the residents who were lucky enough to witness it.
Hi all.. Animalia Encounters is a small family business based in Hildenborough, owned by myself( Naomi) but supported by the whole family. Our animals have always been a massive and important part of our lives . Over the last 20 + years we have rescued and re homed many of them and loved them all as members of our family. They have brought so much joy and sometimes heartache but we wouldn’t have it any other way. Animalia encounters enables me to share my enthusiasm, knowledge and respect with others and hopefully promote kindness and compassion for all creatures . Thank you so much to Naomi and her team for the brilliant party for my daughter's 2nd Birthday. I was quite worried that the audience would be too young to appreciate the animals and the facts however it was quite the opposite, the kids loved the animals and loved learning about them just as much as all the adults and big kids who watched and joined in too. Great party and games for the kids. So many parents asked about your services and said how much they enjoyed it! Thank you again!! Will be booking in for next year too! :)

Naomi is a natural with both animals and children. I felt very confident with her handling the creepy crawlies and teaching our group of children about lots fun and interesting facts. She has a real passion and enthusiasm which you can really see in her sessions. Thank you Naomi!
Naomi came to visit 2 X 6 year olds, a 4 year old and a 1 year old with a variety of animals for a short encounter session. Both the children and the adults had a fantastic time. Naomi was brilliant- she knew so many interesting facts about the animals and pitched the level perfectly for her audience. Highly recommended.
My two boys loved the meet & make session at Fisher Hall today. It was such a unique experience to handle and learn about a diverse range of animals. The ducklings were amazing!
My son’s 6th birthday was a noisy, crowded party but Naomi and the animals were fab! Couldn’t recommend enough �����
I took my daughter to a meet and make session today and she loved it! She was completely entranced by the animals and had lots of time to hold and stroke them. I would definitely recommend �
Had the most amazing time at my sons 3rd birthday party, all the children loved the animals (so did the adults) Naomi was wonderful with the animals and children, she really helped all the children feel comfortable around the animals we even learnt some interesting facts about them, I would highly recommend this experience and can't wait to use her again, my favourite was Lily the cutest fluffiest rabbit I have ever met, thank you for a fantastic day x

Fabulous session, we really enjoyed seeing the animals and Naomi was really patient with my daughters constant questions!
An excellent experience. Informative, not rushed and great friendly team led by Naomi. Kids really enjoyed it and having a major phobia myself Naomi respected that and gave me confidence to hold a snake! Anyone who knows me will know that is unbelievable! Thank you so much
