Ann'S Kitchen Pantry Description
Customers often ask me how I started my small business and I always say that it was due totally to the fact that my three gorgeous daughters are growing up fast and have either left the nest or at the very least flapping their wings furiously ready to leave!
Now that my job of being a full time mum and chauffeur is nearly done, at last I have the time to do what I have always dreamed of doing; creating my own range of jams, chutneys and marmalades made with fresh and, if possible, locally sourced produce and to sell them at local shops, farmers’ markets and farm shops. So in November last year I made my first chutneys and marmalades and went to my very first farmers’ market. It was freezing cold and I did not really expect anyone to buy from my small stall. Still I braved the cold, conquered my nerves and to my amazement I had a great time meeting fantastic people who were really interested in cooking and buying from my small range.
I now cook nearly every day and the initial range has increased to 10 different flavours; from traditional piccalilli to boozy marmalade with whisky and red fruits jam bursting with sunshine flavours.

One of my favourite programmes
Sending lemon curd to Ware Country Market this Friday. Always a popular preserve, a delicious filling for a homemade sponge cake. There will also be at least one coffee and walnut cake if I can hide it from my family :).
I will be at the Hatfield House Garden show this weekend. Looks as though the weather will be kind for this fabulous event dedicated to one of our favourite past times.

Today I am on my way to the #WareCountryMarket, with a new addition to my range of fudge - cherry and walnut plus some more piccalilli which was very popular at last week's market.
Going to the craft fair Kimpton May Festival today. Had some beautiful items for sale last year so may well be tempted again today

Great day at Brown's Garden Centre Crew Hill yesterday, despite the freezing temperatures and rain. Best seller of the day was ginger marmalade I wonder why? People trying to warm up?
Taking the jams to the Friday market at Chalfont St Peter today, It will be interesting to see which route the satnav comes up with today.
Off to the Open Day at Oaklands College, Smallford today. Great family day out and I will have Father's Day gift boxes for sale at £8 each.
